The controls on this game are very easy.  It may, though, take just a little
bit of time to get used to them.

-  An eight-way joystick

-  A fire button

-  A bomb button

/ 6.2  The Playing Fields /____________________________________________________
--------------------------

Xevious actually consists of one type of playing field.  The terrain and
enemies change as you progress through the areas.  These are described in more
detail in Chapter 6.4.  I have included an example of what this field looks
like:

/ 6.4  The Areas /_____________________________________________________________
-----------------

There are 16 areas in Xevious.  There is no indicator of the areas on the game,
however, you can recognize the fact you are in a new area because you will
cross a forest that goes across the screen.  In addition, you can also tell
because of the setup and the enemies involved.  After area 16, it goes back to
area 7 again to start the process again.  A lot of times, regular saucers will
appear when you are going into another area.  See Chapter 7 for general
strategies that work for all areas.

+--------+
AREA 1
+--------+

This introduces you to Xevious.  There are mostly air targets in this area
which are mostly Toroids and Torkans.  There are a couple of buildings for you
to bomb.

+--------+
AREA 2
+--------+

This is your introduction to ground targets.  There are a lot of Domograms,
Grobdas, and Lograms in this area.  This helps you learn how to use your bomb-
sight effectively against ground targets.

+--------+
AREA 3
+--------+

You now encounter the indestructible plates.  These are large metal plates that
roll through the air.  You will have to move around them or have your fighter
destroyed.  Occasionally an air or ground unit will take a shot at your
fighter.  Once you clear the plates, you will encounter saucers that look like
gears (they spin along their axis), more fighters that fire and flip to escape,
and also white crystals that hurl toward your fighter.

+--------+
AREA 4
+--------+

It's mostly air units in this area.  First you will be hit by Torroids.  Then
about three or four plates will roll by.  Then you will encounter the Zakatos.
Then you will encounter the Andor Genesis Mothership.  You must put a bomb dead
center into it to destroy it.  This is while the Zakatos assault your Solvalou.
After you have cleared out the Andor Genesis Mothership, you will once again
have to deal with three to four rolling plates and some Torkans.

+--------+
AREA 5
+--------+

You encounter some new air units.  You will now have to deal with Zoshis and
Kapis along with some Jarras.  Once you are over the water, you will have to
deal with the two Garu Derotas firing at your Solvalou.  You will eventually
reach the harbor/docks.

+--------+
AREA 6
+--------+

You will see a design on the ground that looks like a bird.  This means you are
approaching an airstrip.  You will see several Domograms moving around in a
specific formation of moving in circles.  You will also see a large number of
Lograms, Derotas, and Garu Derotas defending the airstrip.  The only air attack
is by the Torroids.

+--------+
AREA 7
+--------+

This area is mainly forested and with few roads.  There are a lot of ground
targets in this area.  You will be assaulted, in the air, by the Zoshi
fighters.

+--------+
AREA 8
+--------+

This area consists mostly of ground units.  An occasional enemy fighter will
pop in but this area is good for honing your bombing skills to a fine edge.

+--------+
AREA 9
+--------+

This is one of the largest areas of the game.  This one starts out with the
metal rolling plates.  A slight break, and then more metal rolling plates.  You
will then be swamped by both air and ground targets.  The air targets are the
Kapi while the ground targets are all sizes of gun batteries along with Domo-
grams moving along the roads.  Later on, you will be hit by Brag Zakatos.  You
then will deal with Jarras and Bragzas.  This all ends with Brag Zakatos and
another Andor Genesis Mothership.

+---------+
AREA 10
+---------+

Your introduction into this area reveals another design on the ground followed
by Domograms doing an in-and-out movement.  You will then be assaulted by Garu
Zakatos.  You will then pass across another airfield that is again heavily
defended by all sizes of gun batteries.

+---------+
AREA 11
+---------+

You start this area off by moving through the metal rolling plates.  After you
clear these, it is mostly ground targets.

+---------+
AREA 12
+---------+

This area is mostly ground targets with an occasional enemy air unit coming in.

+---------+
AREA 13
+---------+

This area puts you over the sea again.  You will have to take on the Garu
Derotas in the water and Domograms on the docks.  You will then pass across
another heavily defended airfield.

+---------+
AREA 14
+---------+

You will start this area off by going through three to four rolling metal
plates.  Then Brag Zakato will harass you.  Then you will have to deal with the
Andor Genesis Mothership.  Once this one is destroyed, more Brag Zakato appear
and another Andor Genesis Mothership will make its entrance.

+---------+
AREA 15
+---------+

This area is mostly ground targets.

+---------+
AREA 16
+---------+

This area consists of rolling metal plates.  The occasional fighter or ground
unit will fire on you.

After area 16, you go back to area 7 again.

+======================+
| 7.  PLAYING THE GAME |=======================================================
+======================+

When you start the game, your Solvalou will be at the bottom of the screen.
Keep in mind, this is a scrolling game.  This means you can go no faster then
the top and no slower then the bottom of the screen.  You can, however, vary
your speed in-between by pushing the joystick up and down.  The biggest key in
getting through this game is learning how to use the joystick to speed up and
slow down because you will sometimes be put into some very tight areas that
will require precision joystick control.

-  One interesting aspect of this game is the fact if you are too successful
   against a particular kind of enemy, the game will adjust itself to send
   different enemies until you have difficulty dealing with them.

-  Make sure you know what you will be encountering in each area from Chapter
   6.4.  You also need to anticipate the secrets from Chapter 8.

-  If you hold down the fire and bomb buttons, you will constantly be doing
   both at a slower rate.  This is great when you are in the thick of things
   with both air and ground targets swarming the area.

-  Speaking of bombs, your Solvalou is equipped with smart bombs (so to speak).
   They are launch and forget weapons.  When you "paint" the target with your
   bombsight and launch your bomb, it will hit that target even when you have
   already flown over it.  There are a couple of strategies to make your
   bombing runs more effective:

   -  When you have targets close together (usually gun batteries are arranged
      this way), put a bomb between them.  You will have a very good chance of
      taking out both batteries with one hit since you can only have one bomb
      on the screen at a time.

   -  For moving targets (such as tanks), anticipate the targets direction and
      "lead" it a little.  This basically means putting the bomb at the point
      where the target will run into it.

   -  Your bombsight will turn red whenever any target is "sighted", even if
      the target is hidden like Sol Citadels and flags.

-  Keep away from the corners.  These can become death traps real quickly if
   you are swamped by enemies.

-  Since you have free reign of most of the screen to move around, make sure you
   use all that room for maneuvering.  Enemy fighters have a nasty habit of
   either shooting from behind your fighter or re-entering the screen from
   random sides.  It also is handy when you are dodging a heavy volume of enemy
   fire.

-  Make sure when you are maneuvering around the rolling plates, you always
   leave yourself a clear "out".  What I mean by this is there another di-
   rection to escape instead of having to move along with the plates.  An
   occasional enemy likes to put up shots at your fighter since it is very
   difficult to maneuver around the rolling plates.

-  The Andor Genesis Motherships are pretty easy to destroy if you work
   quickly.  Most of the time, Zakatos and Brag Zakatos precede the arrival of
   the Andor Genesis Mothership.  Blast these out of the sky and avoid the
   shrapnel.  When the Andor Genesis Mothership appears,    lead the target a
   little and quickly move up and plant your bomb at the point the center of
   the ship will be.  The less time you waste taking on this ship, the better.

+=============+
| 8.  SECRETS |================================================================
+=============+

Xevious is full of hidden secrets.  It's just a matter of either placing a bomb
at the right place or hitting the right kind of terrain.

__________________
/ 8.1  Easter Egg /____________________________________________________________
------------------

-  Right when the game starts, go to the right corner of the screen and start
   rapidly pressing the bomb button.

-  When the first two rings appear, go ahead and destroy them while you
   continue to bomb.

-  At the bottom of the screen, in the middle, the following will appear:

                          NAMCO   Original
                                 program by EVEZOO

_________________
/ 8.2  The Flags /_____________________________________________________________
-----------------

There are four flags hidden throughout the game.  These flags occur in areas 1,
3, 5, and 6.  All flags are along a horizontal line across the terrain.  The
only way to uncover a flag is to bomb it so you will have to lay a string of
bombs along the entire horizontal line.  This basically means moving up
quickly, dealing with enemies quickly, and dropping your bombs quickly.  Once a
flag is uncovered, you must fly over it to get the benefits from it.

+--------+
FLAG 1
+--------+

The first flag is located in the first river you encounter after you start the
game.  Look for the three Grobdas in a row.  Just above them is a river that
cuts horizontally across the terrain.  Just bomb the river from left to right
and around the bank closest to you.  The flag should appear.

+--------+
FLAG 2
+--------+

After you get past the plates, look up and to the right.  There is a little
lake with a small river feeding into the ocean.  Start in the middle of the
lake and bomb toward the little river.  The flag should appear around where the
river dumps into the ocean.

+--------+
FLAG 3
+--------+

When you cross the first ocean, you will eventually see a dock/harbor at the
top.  The flag is located around the horizontal line that the longest pier
projecting out is part of.  You will need to quickly bomb that entire length to
find and get the flag before the bottom scrolls your Solvalou too far up.

+--------+
FLAG 4
+--------+

You will see a big bird picture on the desert.  At the lowest point of its
tailfeathers (in the lower right corner), start to bomb horizontally from right
to left.  The flag will appear.

____________________
/ 8.3  Sol Citadels /__________________________________________________________
--------------------

These structures require you to bomb them once to cause them to surface.  They
look like large storage tanks or grain silos.  You then need to bomb them again
to destroy them.  You have a potential to collect several hundred thousand
points by taking out these structures.  They come in groups of 1, 4, or 8.
Unlike flags, these structures are always in the same place.  There are six
sets of Sol Citadels.

+-----------+
FIRST SET
+-----------+

One in area 2.  When you see the three Grobdas in a row on the road, start
laying bombs in the area around the cul-de-sac below the last tank in a right
and diagonal-down point.  The citadel will be even with the cul-de-sac.

+------------+
SECOND SET
+------------+

One in area 3.  When you see the Garu Bara, go to the left of the Garu Bara and
start bombing.  This is also the area that the second flag can be found.

+-----------+
THIRD SET
+-----------+

Four in area 9.  There is a clear area right before you tangle with the second
Andor Genesis Mothership.  Where the road splits around the woods, start to lay
bombs a little below the bottom edge of the road that goes to the right.  You
should uncover four Sol Citadels.

+------------+
FOURTH SET
+------------+

Eight in area 13.  At the point the desert ends, there is a little grass, then
the air field starts.  Use the birds leg as a reference and fly straight up.
When the bombsight glows, start bombing.  This will be the lower left Sol
Citadel of the group which is arranged in two rows of four citadels.  You will
be hard pressed to get all eight citadels.

+-----------+
FIFTH SET
+-----------+

Four in area 14.  After the plates roll by, look for where two roads merge into
one road.  At the top edge of the slanted right hand road, start dropping bombs
to uncover some more citadels.

+-----------+
SIXTH SET
+-----------+

Four in area 15.  Look for a forest on the left side.  There will be a small
clearing and then a river.  Bomb the small clearing to bring the citadels up.
There will be very intense ground fire in this location so be especially
watchful.

3.  GAME STORY
-----------------------------

You have been chosen to represent Earth in Mortal Kombat. Be warned, although
your souls are protected against Shao Kahn evil: Your lives are not. I cannot
interfere any longer as your Earth is now ruled by the Outworld gods.
These are the words of Raiden

For centuries Earth has used Mortal Kombat to defend itself against the
Outworld's Emperor Shao Kahn. But, Kahn becomes frustrated by failed attempts
at taking Earth through tournament battle. He enacts a plan which began 10,000
years ago.

During this time Kahn had a Queen. Her name was Sindel and her young death was
unexpected. Kahn's Shadow Priests, lead by Shang Tsung, make it so Sindel's
spirit would someday be reborn: Not on the Outworld but on the Earth Realm
itself.

This unholy act gives Shao Kahn the power to step through the dimensional gates
and reclaim his Queen, thus enabling him to finally seize the Earth Realm.

Upon breaching the Portal into Earth, Saho Kahn slowly transforms the planet
into a part of the Outworld itself.

Kahn strips the Earth of all human life: claiming every soul as his own.

But there are souls which Kahn cannot take. These souls belong to the warriors
chosen to represent Earth in a new Mortal Kombat.

The remaining humans are scattered through out the planet. Shao Kahn sends an
army of fierce Outworld warriors to find and eliminate them.

After the first tournament Sonya Blade turned up missing. Jax then embarked
on a rescue mission into the Outworld. He found Sonya being held captive with
her nemesis Kano. In freeing Sonya, Jax also frees Kano. Kano then uses the
chance to escape arrest.

The ultimate advancement in Lin Kuei technology comes with the creation of the
first cyber-assasin. They begin converting their human ninjas into soulless
machines. But Sub-Zero refuses to take part and is marked for death by his own
clan.

After winning the first Mortal Kombat and escaping from the Outworld, Liu Kang
looks to the future. He begins training a new generation of Shaolin alongside
Kung Lao. But nothing could prepare them for the unexpected Outwolrd invasion.

-----------------------------
4.  KEY:
-----------------------------

All the buttons you see on the machine are involved in the finishing moves(Low
Punch, High Punch, High Kick, Low Kick, Block, Run).The joystick movements are
also important to do some of the moves (Up, Down, Forward, Back)

Here are also some stuff you got to understand before reading the FAQ:

You grab the opponent by pressing Forward + Low Punch near the opponent.

Some combinations involved pressing two buttons at once, I will mark this ones
with a + sign(Ex. Block+ Run)

There are 3 different ways to perform a Finishing Move. In one you just have to
do a joystick combination and press a button at the end(Ex. Forward, Forward,
Forward, Low Punch)
Another type is that you have to hold a button and quickly imput the joystick
or button combination that follows and end the combination by realising the
hold button(Ex. Hold Low Punch{Forward,Forward,Fordward}release Low Punch).
The third type is the one you have to imput a button combination in which it
doesn't involve the joystick in any way(Ex. Block,Block,Run,Run,Low Punch)

You also have to check some different stuff before performing a Finishing Move.
You gotta check the distance you'r standing in first. There are five types of
distances which I will describe below:

Close: You have to be beside your opponent
Sweep: Get close to your opponent and take 2 steps backwards
Outside Sweep: Move more than two steps back but no more than
               jumping distance.
Jumping: Get close to your opponent and do 1 jump backwards
Full Screen: You gotta be standing on the other side of the screen

The distance will be marked with an asterisk (Ex. *Close*) If a move doesn't
have a distance beside it, it means it can be done anywhere (Ex. Liu Kang)

Some of the moves involved jumping or moving distances(Ex. Liu Kang).
In order to do this attacks or finishers easier, I recomment holding Block
when performing them.

---------------------------------------
5.  FINISHING MOVES INTRODUCTION:
---------------------------------------

In Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 there are 6 types of Finishing Moves which I will
describe briefly below:

FATALITY:----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah! The most memorable part of Mortal Kombat!  In a Fatality you kill your
opponent in a really gruesome way. In order to perform a Fatality you must
defeat your opponent and when the annoucer calls the infamous FINISH HIM/HER
perform the combination listed for the character you are using.

STAGE FATALITY:----------------------------------------------------------------

This type of Fatality can only be perfomed on 4 stages(Saho Kahn's Tower, The
Pit III, The Subway and Scorpion's Lair). In order to perform this fatalily
defeat your opponent on one of the selected stages and perform the
button combination.  All Stage Fatalities are performed in the Close position.

FRIENDSHIP:--------------------------------------------------------------------

The Friendship is a finishing move which involves not killing your opponent but
doing something nice for them.
In order to perform a Frienship Move, you have to fight your winning round
WITHOUT, I repeat Without using Block. Then after you defeat your opponent
perform the button combination.
All Friendships can be done in any position excluding a few ones(Ex. Kabal)

BABALITY:----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Babality is a finishing move which involves
turning your opponent into a baby.
In order to perform a Babality, you must fight your winning round without using
Block and after you defeat your opponent perform the button combination
All Babalities can be done in any position you want.

MERCY:-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Mercy is not actually a Finishing Move but something that helps
your opponent. A Mercy gives your opponent a little bit of
health back so you can defeat them again, BE CAREFUL thought since your
opponent may do a incredible comeback on you.
In order to do a Mercy you have to win on your third round and perform the
following combination:   Hold Run(Down, Down) Release Run.

ANIMALITY:---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Animality is a finishing move in which you killed your opponent by
transforming into an animal.
In order to perform an Animality you have to beat you opponent on the 3rd round
and then perform a Mercy. After you activate the Mercy defeat your opponent
again and perform the button combination as listed.

-----------------------------
6.  MOVE LIST AND STORIES:
-----------------------------

The part you have all been waiting for, the Move List:

Kitana:------------------------------------------------------------------------

     Kitana is accused of treason by the high courts of the Outworld after
murdering her evil twin Mileena. Shao Kahn appoints a group of warriors
specifically to catch his daughter and bring her back alive. But Kitana
must find a way to reach the newly crowned Queen Sindel first warn
her of thier true past.

Fan Toss:  Forward, Forward, Low Punch+ High Punch  *can also be done on air*
Fan Lift:  Back, Back, Back, High Punch
Square Flying Punch:  Down, Back, High Punch
Standard Combo:  High Punch, High Punch, Back+ Low Punch,
                                 Forward + High Punch

Just north of construction site south. (Ami1,ch1)

Destroy all the deciptions is your objective. Orange ones which were forklifts are
easy to defeat and can use ranged or melee, but the blue and grey ones are more
difficult and can only be destroyed by melee attacks. Defeat about15-20 orange ones
and about 3 blue/grey ones in waves and

4.2 Chapter 2, Guardian Angel:

In front of Sam’s house (Ami1,ch2)

Follow the first two cars(red) shoot the one behind until it pops up but don’t
change untill you make the other car pop out. It takes about 5 shots for them
to pop out. You pop out both of them as they don’t go anyway except follow you
once popped out. Then kill both of them  with melee or ranged attacks. After
defeating them go to the Mall(the traffic circle/round a bout) go right(from
Sam’s House) or West, then keep going untill you get to the police station
and wait for them. Pop out each one as they come and then kill them although
I have found the blue/grey one in the housing area already popped up.

4.3 Chapter 3, Protect and Serve:

Just North of the High School (Ami1,ch3)

BOSS – Barricade   HP: 18
Barricade begins the battle with his arms spinning, to stop him doing this
throw an object from the ground at him. Now after you throw something at
him melee attack him 3 times, then there is a cut scene. Now to beat
Barricade to the base ball field take the 1st right then the 2nd left then
the 1st right again and keep going. Throw something at him then melee
attack him 3 times, now he spins his arms again so throw something else at him.

Then proceed to hit him 3 times with a melee attack, again cut scene. Now to
beat him to power plant take the 1st right which is right where you are, then
the 2nd left and 3rd right then lastly keep heading on to get the power plant.
This is the same process expect he spins his arms 3 times. Now, stand back at
the beginning as the explosions can hurt you but not him. Get an item to throw
at him in the mean time. Throw it then melee attack him 3 times. Throw
something else at him, then hit him 3 times with melee attacks. And again throw
something at him, the hit him 3 times with melee.

4.4 Chapter 4, Air traffic control: Northwest of High School and Southwest
of Mall (Ami1,ch4)
There are 2 power generators which you have to destroy in the square you start
one in the East the other in te West and to the North on a building is a tower
you have to destroy. Now from there Head West from the road South of the
Square and take the 2nd right, 1st left, 1st left again then the right at the
curve in the road. There are 2 decepticons in there one red(so easy), the other
one blue and grey(melee attacks only). Although there has been a blue and grey
one which has snuck up on me half way through destroying stuff.

There are 3 generators, 2 are in front of the South building and the other is in
front of the North building. There are also 11 towers on the 2 buildings 6 to
the South and 5 to the North. Now to the power plant from the entrance take a right
and then the 1st left and zoom to the action zone. Now just destroy all the white
tubes in the ground to get

4.5 Chapter 1, Obstruction of Justice:

Just North of mall (Ami2,ch1)

Each Check Point (CP) location is relation to the last one.

CP 1: Keep heading counter clockwise around the mall and take the1st exit to
the west and zoom through the police roadblock.

CP 2: Take the next left after the roadblock and follow the road to the next
CP.

CP3: again take the next left block but not the one the check point is at and
follow to the 3rd checkpoint.

Destruction 1: Take an immediate left at the Check point then change up the
road and destroy the gas pump

Destruction 2: Is right next to the last destruction if your lucky you might
get both in one shot but it’s a gas pump anyway.

Destruction 3: Now destroy the gas pumps up the road.

CP 4: alley to the North to the grass and get to the road North and hit the
Check point.

Destruction 4: Keep following the road North and then East to the high way
and change and destroy the Gas truck.

CP 5: Its on the Highway heading North or counter clockwise depending on view
just jump over the baricade and then change.

CP6: Keep going along the highway until you reach the first exit and take it
and go through the tunnel.

CP7: Once you get out of the tunnel take a right or West across the grass and
then when you hit road take a left and hit the check point.

the gas pumps.

CP10: Now head East or right (If you entered the crossroad from the last
Check point), to the mall and go clockwise on it.

Now you are Ironhide as Jazz got captured

4.6 Chapter 2, A friend in Need:

East of the Baseball field and South of the Construction site North(Ami2,ch2)

Watch Jazz’s health bar occasionally it isn’t that important.  Follow the
road you are on South  to the first location where there are 4 guys just
take them out with melee attacks its quicker. Now after defeating all 4
follow the road you came on North now either keep following the road
and turn off on the 4th left and the 1stleft or cut into the grass right
before the police station into the housing area. There are3 guys here
the first two are there anyway and you can beat them up easy with
whatever you want but the 3rdone is a tow truck who has to popped up.

This truck is spinning just like Barricade. Throw something at him
and then you can attack with melee attacks twice then repeat a couple
of times. Leave the housing area with a right and then take the 3rd
right and then 1st right. Then head clockwise around the mall and take the
1st turnoff, to the next area which has 2 oranges and a tow truck dude.
Kill this spinning as quickly as possible because if you don’t more
orange guys will keep coming in sets of two. Now head back to the mall
and head counterclockwise and take the 1st exit then take the left and
after the 1st left cut across the grass to construction site North. This
dude is tough he isn’t a boss as he doesn’t have a name.  So to take
him down throw stuff at him and then he will fall now you can go up to
him and throw him around, throw him into buildings for extra damage
like 150% damage.

Now you are Optimus Prime

4.7 Chapter 3, flight of the bumble bee:

Just North of High School (Ami2,ch3)

Not much advice I can give without being really confusing, so just
follow the helicopter and stay in range. When the helicopter goes
over a building just go to the nearest turn towards its direction.
Now after following it for about 5-10minutes it will be

4.8 Chapter 4, Heavy Weapon:

East and a little bit South of the Mall(Ami2,ch4)

Boss –Shockwave HP: 30 HP
Shockwave is a turret is at the beginning of the level, the only
way to hurt him is to throw stuff at him. Keep throwing stuff at
him until he has 3 ringlets of health left. Now Shockwave will
change into robot form. Now the only way to hurt him is to melee
him to death. You get 3-5 shots in depending on how and when you
hit but you have to hit 3 times to make him transform.

After 3-5 hits he will change into a helicopter chase him to new
area and he will be in his robot form and just repeat previous
process, watch out for him blocking as he does that a lot. Locations
he flies to in order are: Police Station, Northwest of High School
and southwest of the Mall, North of the Mall, Original location
East of the Mall and back.

4.9 Chapter 1, Break Out!:

Right in front and South of the control center (Ami3,ch1)

Destroy the door by punching and kicking it with [ ] 8 times.
Now a little robot, sentry thing will come. You have to
destroy this thing before it gets to the alarm. Change Bumblebee
into his vehicle and chase it , he turns right, while shooting
your light weapon at it. After 5 hits it should go on fire and
no health bar go back to the control room.

Don’t bother with the turrets and destroy the door again 8 melee hits again. Now
another sentry will come out and go left not right again chase
it and shoot it. Again 5 shots dead. Go back and destroy the
last wall/door thing for 2 sentries to come out, oddly they both
go left not one either way. So follow them and shoot each one
5 times then head back to the control room for

4. 10 Chapter 2, Tunnel Vision:

All the way down North tunnel B (Ami3,ch2)

So you have to escape the tunnel within 1 minute now. Good
Tactic to do would be to use your nitro a lot and shoot out
obstacles ahead of you. I would keep going on after this
and try to get the 5 Speed icons for some goodies.

Now destroy the fan in service tunnel A North. It takes 4
melee hits and escape again. Keep making your way around the
tunnels and destroying the fans which take 4 shots. After
destroying all 5 fans and escaping from the 6 tunnels you
will get

Chapter complete.

4.11 Chapter 3, Power Drain:

South East Corner of the Dam right by tunnels South C,D. (Ami3,ch3)

Now you have to throw the reactors within 2 minutes or
they explode but each time you throw one you get an extra
30 seconds so you have 4 minutes to complete this mission.

I would start out by heading north, now you can only
climb the buildings from the East and West sides. Now get
to the top and throw the reactor in the opposite direction
you want to go as it will fly you that way. Save the one
by its lonesome for last and then once you get all 5 reactors.

4.12 Chapter 4, Waking Giant:

Southwest of Megatron and East as you enter the lab area. (Ami3,ch4)

First off you should now you only have to survive this
mission. Ok but first to destroy the clamps just lock
on and use your heavy weapon for quick destruction. Then
a cutscence should happen and a timer will appear you
have to survive for 3 whole minutes, just destroy the
little energon droids with melee attacks as its quicker
for health. Now after about 30 seconds Megatron will awake
and will start shooting you with lightning which you cannot
block. You cannot kill him but you can disable him. By
shooting the canisters around him with your heavy weapon
it takes 2 or 3 shots depending on each one. You have to
destroy them in this order shown
below

3MM4
1MM2
^^^^^ You face him this way

Know once he is knocked and it takes him about 40 seconds
to recharge and start shooting yiou again. Try strafing
to make Megatron miss you. After 3 minutes have gone by
with you in or out of the action zone you get

Mission 4: The Last Stand

You are Iron Hide

4.13 Chapter 1, Exterminator:

Directly west of Obelisk (Ami4,ch1)

This chapter has to be the easiest in the game all you have to
do is kill 100 of the little energon droids like in . Just have
fun I took them out with melee attacks as it is quicker, it is like
1 shot kill and they are so close its hard to ranged attacks. You
don’t really have to watch bumblebee’s health but glance at it a
couple times this mission took 3 minutes tops probably took more
like a minute and a half though.

Chapter complete

You are now Jazz

4.14 Chapter 2, Unfriendly Skies:

2 blocks South of Chapter 1 and a block West from the
Eagles statue (Ami4,ch2)

BOSS-Starscream HP: ???
Throughout this mission set healths will regenerate.Start by
transforming into your car and going as quick as you can down the
road using nitro and such so you get minimal if any damage from
the explosions.  Now wait for Starscreen to come down and transform
and then just beat him up with melee attacks.

When he flies to the sky run away as he will do a ground attacked with
range, use the minimap as a guide to where he is. Again wait for him
to come again and Jazz will say “If I were you I would call for back up
too”. Now he will use flamethrowers from his wrist like Jango/Bobba Fett,
just throw something at him and he will stop then beat him up, he will go
up and flame again. Keep doing this until a cut scene happens
(Starscream runs out of Health).

BOSS-Blackout HP:???
You have to shoot Blackout out of the sky or wait a while, one or the other.
Once he is grounded just beat him up with melee attacks too but watch out
for his charge attack YOU CAN NOT BLOCK IT, you can tell he is doing it as
he does a little jump thing. Either roll out of way or if you’re lucky you
will go under him as he charges you.

Now after he runs out of health Starscream will come back for more just use
the same tactics as before and now you have to fight both off at once. I would
recommend picking on one at a time. Now Starscream has less HP than Blackout
so I would take him out first then move onto Blackout when knock one of their
health down to about 25% they will go and fly for alittle bit and come back
with 50-75% health but will not do that again. Also always watch your Health
on this bit as that got me a lot of times and they cause nearly double damage.

Chapter complete

Now you change back to Ironhide

4.15 Chapter 3, For the Fallen:

1 block North of Chapter 1 and 1 block West of Obelisk (Ami4,ch3)

BOSS-Brawl HP:40
Again with all bosses just pound him with melee attacks you can get two off at
time then he blocks it takes 10 hits the first time and then Brawl runs. 4
Decepticons appear quickly fight them off and then head South along the street
to get to Brawl who is a tank shooting you but will pop when you come along.
Same strategy 2 hits then block after 10 hits he runs again this time 8 decepticons
come now head East along that street to get to Brawl as a tank again.

2 hits and block yet again and then 2 Decepticons come including a tow truck, spinner
who was surprising to me and anew one, a charger you have to attack but only when he
is stopped. After defeating them all head north to Brawl’s final location and yet
again the same strategy.

Chapter complete.

4.16 Chapter 4, Keep Away:

Southeast of the Really big building (Ami4,ch4)

BOSS-Barricade HP: 54
This is the police Car from earlier and you should use the same tactics, So he starts
off with his arms spinning so throw something at him and then hit him 6 times and his
arms will spin so just throw something at him and hit him 6 times for a cut scene,
now to beat him to the café go left through the alley, then left onto the road then
take a right and then the 1st left to get to the café.

Now you have to do the same throw, hit 6 times combo 3 times now to get another cut
scene. Now just go up the road north as fast as you can to beat him there. Now you
have do the throw, 6 hits thing 4 times to finally finish him off.

4.17 Mission: The Ultimate Doom (AUD)
*****************************************

You are Optimus Prime for this mission.

One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall

BOSS-Megatron HP: 12
Now at first wait for him to land while avoiding the bombs he drops. After a while he
will come down and will be like the charge dude from “For the Fallen” just throw
stuff at him once he is stopped and then he will attack you, block his 3 hit combo
then hit several times about 3 times does it and then he flies off.  Now again wait
for him to land except this time he will swing a mace like Barricade and now throw
something at him to make him want to attack you.

Block his 2-3 hit combos depending on if he uses his mace. Then hammer Megatron with
melee attacks about 3 times for him to flee to the skies again.  Now after waiting
he will come down now he use flamethrowers like Starscream did, but you have throw
something at him while he is flaming and he gets close to you, I would recommend picking
something up while he is in the sky.

Now same thing block and then attack. Now after flying and coming down he will charge
you like the first time so just follow those instructions then he will try the spinning
thing again so throw something at him and then he will try and flame you like before. After
all this just block and then attack to finish him.

5.8 Chapter 4, Plight of the Bumblebee:

Infront of police Station. (Dmi2,ch4)

BOSS-Bumblebee HP: 96/24
Now first your thinking 96HP thats alot!!!. But not really as a 3 hit combo
hurts him 1 and throwing another 1 but into a building is 2. This fight
is justlike the one you last had with him in "Pursuit". He charges up so
defend and then move closer, after doing this a while you will be close
enough to be able to hit. Make sure you hit him before he is charging as
you can't hurt him then.

After hitting him with a 3 hit combo he will fall back now pick him and
throw him against a building for 2 times the damage. If you don't pick
him up he will attack you with 3 hit combos, just hit him with a 3 hit
combothen he will start charging up again. It takes 24 hits to make him
flee or 8 combos/throwing him but only 6 combos/throwing him at a building.

Now after he flees head North then take the 3rd left and then the 1st right.
Use the same tactics again and he flees again. Left onto road, then take
the 4th right or one at the end of the road. Then take the 1st, to go clockwise
around the mall and take the 1st exit. Same Tactics again and then just head
South down the road when he flees and enter the power plant. Same Tactics again
accept this time Autobots come and attack you throughout the mission don't
bother with them just defeat Bumblebee for

meet and there will be a giant tank roadblock. Just destroy the tanks as

will unleah an ultimate explosion on you. After you destroy all the
droids, Ironhide will then charge you now throw something at him when
he is stopped. Now you can 3 hit combo him he flyand end up on his back,
now pick him up and throw him against a building.

Now more Droids. Repeat same strategy, then more droids will come with a
spinner. Same startegy then more droids come with 2 spinners. Then again
same tactics. Now only 3 droids will appear one spinner and 2 new foes to
the decepticon campaign, two chargers. With chargers what you do is attack

yes 40 autobots to be able to destroy the city again. Again you have to get
the meter up to 100% within a minute and 15 seconds. Now this next action

7.0 Skills (SkL)

JUMP: To get these for Jump either get alot of speed and then hit
a ramp or get on top of the tallest building and transform

SLIDE: slide is easier than you think my 6 year old broshown me this,
Build up alot ofspeed, while holding accelerate and Nitro, when you
hit 130ish hit the handbrake(L2) but keeping holding accelerate and
you should get it.

THROW: Just pick up something aim your circle as far up as it will go
and throw it and you should get throw everytime.

SPEED: Just find a staright piece of road or one with little and slight
curves and just go as fast as you can using nitro and accelerate.

HEROISM/EVIL: You get this by fighting Decepticons/Autobots without taking damge,
I heard that if you stay long range from one and shoot and back peddel,
and kill it witout taking any damge you will get it, Boom!

DESTRUCTION: Hence the name all you have to do is destroy buildings and
terrain around the area.

1) Personal Notes

- Well after the success of my Sentimental Shooting FAQ I decided that
  it's high time I made another one. So with that in mind I decided to
  go old school. I'm an old school gamer starting on the old Atari and
  NES (ahhh memories........) and I remember always wanting to go to
  where my sister worked at all the time (she use to work at Chuck E.
  Cheese, a kid's fav place to go). The main reason I wanted to spend
  so much time with my sis was just to get my hands on that TMNT Arcade
  Game. At that time the graphics for that game were the best around
  and you couldn't get any better. The graphics to me are still great
  as ever and can hold up to the leading systems today. Besides that
  the other reason why I decided to do a TMNT FAQ was.....THEY RULE!
  I mean c'mon.....if you're around my age (I'm 19!) then you know of
  the old show that came on all the time. I couldn't get enough of the
  4 green machines. So I'm very happy to do an FAQ of this game. And
  now after hearing that a new TMNT show is out I'm trying my best to
  see it (with no such luck yet!!!!!!!! Dammit!!!!! I'm gonna see it!!)
  So without further delay......lets get right down to the Heroes in a
  Halfshell......

2) The Controls

- Well with the emulator you can program the buttons that you want, but
  I'll also get into the arcade controls as well.

- Movement - (Arcade) The Arcade's movement controls are used with the
  joystick (duh). (EMU) The EMU version I programmed each turtle that
  I play with with the directional buttons on the keyboard.

- Attack & Jumping - (Arcade) Again........the buttons have labels so
  it's basically a no-brainer with the Arcade. (EMU) Again you can
  program the buttons in anyway you see fit, but just to let you all
  know I used the A button for attacking and the S button for jumping.

- Special Attacks - By pressing the Attack and Jump buttons at the same
  time you can do a powerful special attack. Leonardo, Michaelangelo,
  and Donatello all have the same special attack that'll kill the
  Foot Soldiers with one hit. The only difference between them all is
  their range with Donatello have the longest and I think Michaelangelo
  has the shortest. Now Rapheal has a different special attack from the
  rest (ain't that like him to be different from the rest of them?)
  It's a rolling kick. It's actually a very useful move despite it
  being weaker than the other 3 (he can't kill a foot soldier with one
  hit). This move is great against bosses since you can quickly roll
  into them and get in close to start attacking them. Just chose which
  special best suits you.

- Jumping Techs - There are 3 different attacks you can do when
  jumping. The first is a forward kick which resembles Raphael's
  special. To do this you have to press the attack button when you are
  close to the ground when you're in a jump. The second attack is a
  diving kick. To do this press the attack button when you're in about
  mid-jump height. The last attack is an attack that resembles Leo's,
  Mike's, and Don's specials. This is the only way you can do a one
  hit kill on the foot soldiers with Raph. When you've reached the top
  of your jump press the attack button and you'll do the one hit kill
  manuever. It is a bit tricky to land it correctly, but with a bit of
  practice you'll get it in no time. Now another nifty little trick
  is the Wall Bounce. Whenever you're close to a wall (which isn't that
  often in this game) you can do a Wall Bounce. Just jump at the wall
  holding the directional button towards it and it'll automatically
  bounce you off the wall. This is a great way to catch the foot or a
  few bosses off guard to counterattack them.

- Difficulty - The amount of enemies that'll appear and the amount of
  life of a boss or damage of a bosses special attacks varies by the
  amount of people playing. Meaning if there are 4 of you playing as
  all 4 turtles, then the game's gonna be at it's maximum difficulty.
  Also the game is a bit difficult depending on the turtle you use.
  I've found that it's easier for me to beat with Donatello and harder
  with Raphael. But really at times it's been easier for me when I'm
  Raphael and harder when I'm Leonardo, so really when you're fighting
  alone it's more so a matter of which turtle you're better with.

- Throwing - Yes you can throw in this game, but it's an auto move. I'm
  not a 100% quite clear on the throwing manuever in this game, but it
  seems that after you've defeated a few enemies you'll be able to
  throw a foot soldier killing him with one hit. You can only throw the
  foot soldiers in the game and no other enemy. From what I can tell
  Raphael gets his throw ability up the fastest, with him all you have
  to do is defeat one enemy and then you can throw the next foot
  soldier that appears. I'm not sure which turtle has the longest to
  wait before he can throw a foot soldier, but I'm gonna go with
  Michaelangelo.

3) The Turtles

- OK.....Here are the 4 main heroes of the game......

- Leonardo -

Age: 16

Height: 5'1

Weight: 155 lbs

Weapon: Katana Blades

Leader of the boys.
If gets serious, his swords start slicing everything in sight...
including salami pizza!

- Leonardo is a well balanced character to use. His attack range is
  good and his combo attacks are quick and reliable. He's got the
  one hit kill special attack, so in reality he's the guy you want to
  use if you're new to the game.

- Michaelangelo -

Age: 15

Height: 5'0

Weight: 150 lbs

Weapon: Nuchakus

Party dude and pizza conneisseur extraordinaire. Takes breaks to
occasionally smash heads...and foots!

- Michaelangelo is like Leonardo in most ways except the range of the
  weapon when using the one hit kill special. His combo attacks are
  extremely brutal when taking on all enemies. He's got great range
  and none of his attacks leave him open for counters. About the only
  enemies that can counter him are bosses.

- Donatello -

Age: 15

Height: 4'9

Weight: 145 lbs

Weapon: Staff

Hippest machine freak this side of shellville. Avoids sushi like a bad
case of rust!

- Donatello has the longest range in the game for doing combos and
  the one hit kill special. He's the best at handling groups of enemies
  and bosses. The downside to him is that a few moves in his combo will
  leave him open to counters. The worst attack to get countered on is
  his kick. It takes the longest to do and it leaves him wide open for
  attacks. Best to leave him to some of the more exprienced players,
  or if he's your fav turtle.

- Raphael -

Age: 15

Height: 5'1

Weight: 147 lbs

Weapon: Sais

Wild boy of the bunch. Raw energy can finish off a foot...or a pizza
before you can say "turtles".

- Raphael is the one best left to the exprienced players of this game.
  He lacks the one hit kill special, but makes up for it with an
  evasive/offensive type of special. This move can get you out of
  tight spots, or put you on an offensive with enemies if used
  properly. Another downside to him is his short attack range. On the
  upside he does not leave himself open to attack, plus his combo is
  faster than most so you'll be able to attack faster than the rest.
  Downside to that is that his attack power is lower than the rest, so
  don't get your hopes up thinking that you'd be able to clear out all
  the enemies in sight. So unless he's your fav turtle I suggest that
  you get some exprience behind the game before trying him.

4) The Foot Clan

- Now here's the section that'll describe all the enemies in the game
  including the bosses.

- The Foot Soldiers -

- There are various types of Foot Soldiers in the game, plus they make
  up practically all the enemies you'll encounter. From the top of the
  list to the bottom I'll go over what I consider the easiest to
  hardest of the Foot Soldiers.

- Normal Soldiers - These soldiers are the purple ones that have
  nothing in their hands and basically try to fight you with their
  bare hands. These are the soldiers that you have to fight constantly
  throughout the game. There's nothing truely special about these guys.
  With a few hits to them and they are gone. You'll get more fighting
  practice against these guys. Just be careful since they do come out in
  swarms and can easily gang up on you. Just make sure to take them out
  quickly and you won't have anything to worry about.

- Boomerang Soldiers - These guys have a yellow suit instead of purple.
  They're main attack method is to use a boomerang that throw from a
  good distance away from you. You can destroy the boomerang that they
  throw if you can't get out of it's way in time. When they throw the
  boomerang they have to stand still until the boomerang gets back to
  them. At this moment dodge the boomerang and take out the soldier. If
  they have to they will fight hand to hand with you, but they mainly
  stick to throwing boomerangs. These guys aren't hard at all just so
  long as you dodge the boomerangs and take them out.

- Throwing Star Soldiers - You don't see these guys that often through
  out the game. You see them mostly on the skateboard stage. In any case
  these guys are just a tad bit tricky. They throw ninja stars at you
  over and over again, and if you get within a certain distance of them
  they will go hand to hand with you to knock you back enough for them
  to use their stars again. Dodge the stars and take them out any way
  you can. The don't ahve much skill to talk of so long as you get out
  of the way of the stars. These guys have a red suit.

- Knife Soldiers - These guys suck serious ass. They are hard to kill,
  and annoying to boot. They throw knives at you from a distance, but
  when you get in close to them they start slashing you with their
  knives. They have some power behind all their attacks and they can
  bring down your life in hurry if you don't do something about them.
  Dodge all their knives that they throw and try to start an offensive
  on them by attacking them with an aerial attack. From there just wait
  for them to stand up and then start taking away the rest of their life
  quickly. You don't want these guys sticking around long, especially
  when a swarm of them comes around. Use the one hit kill attack on
  these guys, or a throw if you know that you have a throw lined up.

- Sword Soldiers - Same white color of the Knife Soldiers except now
  they have a sword. The power that they have is ridiculous. They can
  kill you in no time flat if you allow them to get close enough and
  combo you. They don't have a long distance game so that's a plus. They
  do have an aerial attack that is easily noticable. Just move out of
  the way of the attack and then go on an offensive on them. They don't
  use the aerial attack that often though. Don't allow these guys to
  stick around very long. Use one hit kill attacks or throws against
  these guys. Leaving them around is just suicide.

- Sledgehammer Soldiers - These guys have a light purple outfit and a
  huge sledgehammer that they carry. DO NOT STAND AROUND WHEN THESE GUYS
  ARE IN THE AREA!!!!! Their sledgehammer can take away nearly half your
  life in one hit. These guys are slow, but when you have a great
  distance to attack with, who needs speed? Use the speed advantage you
  have on them to attack them. One hit kills and throws are about the
  only way to go on these guys. When you start a combo on them,
  sometimes they break the combo and take away a huge chunk of your life
  in an instant. Just dodge and kill them instantly. Ignore other
  soldiers if you see one of these guys in the area.

- Mousers - These things aren't hard at all. They come through the walls
  in small holes they make. You first see them in the Sewers. They can
  be killed in one hit no matter what hit it is. They have only one
  attack, and if it doesn't kill you then it kills them. They latch on
  to your hand and just slowly take away your life. Tap the buttons and
  move the joystick to knock them off of you. When you knock them off
  they die. Simply put, the Mousers are no real threat so long as you
  have some life to take a bite or two.

- Machine Gun Soldiers - These guys have the same red color as the Star
  Soldiers, except they carry guns. They shoot at you from a certain
  distance and take away your life like crazy. You have to use one hit
  kill attacks on these guys because you won't get in close enough that
  often on them. They do swing at you with the gun if you get close
  enough to them which knocks you back in one hit. Then they go back to
  shooting at you again. Aerial attacks to start off an offensive on
  them is a great way to go. These guys are annoying to kill, but just
  keep at it long enough and you'll send them to the scrap yard.

- Spear Soldiers - The worse of all the Foot Soldiers, they have the
  same color suits of the Normal Soldiers except they carry this long
  spear. They can hit you from a great distance and kill you in like one
  and a half combos. These guys are the most annoying and the hardest to
  kill. They can throw the spear at you and become Normal Soldiers, but
  they don't do that often enough. They only throw the spear at you if
  you stay too far away from them for too long. You can just dodge
  around them for awhile until they throw the spear. Once that spear is
  gone, they have no skill to talk of. So long as they have the spear
  they're powerful.

- Drill Bots - These guys appear on various stages, but the most you'll
  have to fight at a time is two (if you're playing one player). They
  have only ranged attacks that are a laser and an electric whip that
  slowly takes your life away when it hits. These guys spend most of
  their time zooming around the stage at you before they attack, so if
  you can line up yourself with their path, you can tear them apart.
  They're not that hard to deal with so long as you can watch their
  movements and dodge when necessary.

- Fan Soldiers - These guys only appear on the Skateboard Stage and have
  a tiny cameo appearance on the Warehouse Stage. They have a fan that
  sends out three waves at you from a distance. They are hard to kill if
  you stay at a distance from them all the time. You have to get in
  close to kill them. Use the one hit kill attack on them and get them
  out of your way for good. You don't need these clowns sticking around
  for long.

- Machine Gunners - These guys only appear in the Skateboard Stage and
  are in helicopters. They use machine guns and will pick you apart with
  them. You can only hurt them with aerial attacks, so use the one hit
  kill attack. It doesn't kill them in one hit, so you have to use it
  twice for them to die. Raphael seriously lacks against these things
  since he doesn't have the one hit kill move. Just do what you can and
  avoid jumping too high since the blades of the helicopter can hurt you
  as well.

- Bombers - Same as the Machine Gunners except they drop bombs that kill
  you almost in one hit. Their bomb blasts that they drop are extremely
  hard to dodge. Same rules apply for the Machine Gunners, take them out
  as fast as possible.

- Laser Bugs - These things show up as a miniboss in the Warehouse Stage
  and only have one attack. They shoot lasers and zoom around all over
  the place. You can kill them off with the one hit kill attack in a
  flash. Since they stay in the air, hitting them with your normal
  attacks are somewhat hard. Use mainly aerial attacks against them.

- Rocksteady - The boss of the first stage Rocksteady is somewhat tough
  to deal with. He can go back and forth between ranged and hand to hand
  combat with you. When he doesn't have his machine gun out, he'll stick
  mainly to just using hand to hand attacks. Watch out for when he does
  his charge attack. He'll only use his charge attack when he doesn't
  have his gun out. When he does have his gun out he'll try to target
  you for a time and keep a great distance while staying prefectly lined
  up to you. Just move up and down dodging the few shots he fires until
  he gets off his lock with you. Get in close to him when you can and
  take just a few hits at him, maybe 1 - 4 hits and then get clear of
  him. If you try for more than 4 then he'll kick you knocking you to
  the other side of the screen. Just take those few hits each and every
  time and you'll have him on the ground in no time.

- Bebop - The boss for the Streets Stage, Bebop is basically Rocksteady
  with an upgrade in everything. Bebop's more powerful and doesn't
  telegraph when he's going for either ranged or hand to hand since he
  carries around a ray gun in one hand. Use the same methods for
  defeating him that you use for defeating Rocksteady, except you must
  be more careful with him since you can't really tell what attack he's
  going to use. Just watch him for a moment and when you see an opening
  attack.

- Baxter Stockman - This is by far the easiest boss to fight. He's in
  the Sewers Stage. All he does is drop Red Mousers, a more powerful
  version than the original Mousers. They may be a tad bit more stronger
  than the regular ones, but they still die in one hit. You can defeat
  him two ways. The first is to attack Baxter himself until he explodes.
  The second is to defeat all the Mousers he drops until Baxter runs
  away. Either way this is an easy fight and you shouldn't have much
  trouble with him.

- Rock Soldier - Boss of the Warehouse Stage, he's much harder to defeat
  than Bebop. He takes alot of damage and dishes out just as much too.
  He has a flamethrower that he carries that he uses from time to time.
  Use the same method of defeating him that you use on Bebop and
  Rocksteady, except this time around hit and run. Don't stick around
  to hit him for long or he will break the combo. Raphael's Special is
  the best to use on this guy. The Rock Soldier lacks speed so use that
  to your advantage as well.

- General Crag - Same as the Rock Soldier except for the looks and gun.
  Crag carries a rocket launcher that takes off tremendous life from
  you. Use the same methods of defeating him that you use for the Rock
  Soldier since the only differences is his looks and gun. Raphael once
  again works wonders against him.

- Krang - Krang just seems to have a move for everything. He can break
  combos with no problem, take damage like it's nothing, and is a huge
  powerhouse. You're only method of defeating him is to dodge first then
  hit and run. Raphael's Special works great for the most part, but
  Krang will at times just shoot him when he gets away from him at the
  end of the move. You have to mainly hit and run and dodge like crazy
  to beat him with minimal damage. Just don't stand still for too long
  is the key or he will use his most powerful attacks on you. Almost
  all his attacks are powerhouse attacks, but if he hits you with a
  hand to hand attack, you will be in some serious trouble since his
  melee attacks are his most powerful.

- Shredder - Simply put, you need all your skills here. There's no clear
  cut strategy to beat Shredder since he can dodge your attacks as
  easily as you can dodge his. Plus he makes clones of himself so you
  don't know which is the real Shredder until you defeat that one you're
  going after. When you're about to defeat Shredder or one of his clones
  their helmet will fall off. Shredder doesn't blink red when he's about
  to be defeated. He does run out of clones so you can make it a one on
  one bout if you get rid of the clones. Shredder also has a one hit
  kill attack that spreads all over the screen at an angle. Here's an
  example:

       -
      -
     -
  S-{- - -
     -
      -
       -

  The attack basically does like thatover the stage, but with not that
  much space between the blast. You can dodge it, but you have to be at
  like the top or bottom of the screen. Other than that Shredder
  basically attacks with his sword. This fight will not be easy and as
  I said there's no clear cut method to defeating him. Just attack him
  when you see an opening and don't stick around long to combo him
  either. He doesn't get knocked down so hit him 1-3 times then get out
  of the way.

5) Stages

- Time to learn about what you need to have the heads up for....

- Scene 1 -

- Stage 1 - The Burning Building -

- Here it's a straightforward fight with only one trap waiting for you.
  If you're playing with two or more players then you have to worry
  about fireballs falling from the ceiling. When you reach the staircase
  metal balls will roll down to smash you. Just wait for them to stop to
  pass by or jump over them. When you're getting to the end of the hall
  a Drill Bot will try to stop you. Take it out along with the Star
  Soldier and you're in April's office. Here you have a few various Foot
  Soldiers to deal with before Rocksteady shows up. After the fight's
  over Shredder makes an appearance to kidnap April.

- Scene 2 -

- Stage 2 - The Streets -

- This is a fav stage for many. There's lots of Foot Soldiers to fight
  here and there are plenty of objects you can use to destroy them.
  Those objects include time meters, fire hydrants, and even manhole
  covers that the foot throw at you. The foot will come out of
  everywhere on this stage. When you're moving down watch for foot to
  crash through the windows of the building. Just after you move forward
  from this area you'll see a billboard and the word CAUTION spray
  painted on the ground. Move to the bottom of the screen and move
  forward to find two foot soldiers behind the billboard. Bebob waits
  for you on this stage at the end of it.

- Stage 3 - The Sewers -

- This place is laid out with traps. Mousers chew through the wall to
  get you and the foot even drops from the ceiling to attack you. The
  safest place to stay at in this stage is on the walkway and not on
  the water. At most points during the stage missles will shoot from
  the water. You can destroy them, but it's hard to get the timing right
  to destroy them. Just stay on the walkway. When you reach the wall of
  spikes that fall from the ceiling you're almost at the end of the
  stage. Get pass them and pick up the pizza if you need life and face
  Baxter Stockman to move on to rescue April.

- Stage 4 - The Parking Garage -

- A few traps to watch out for on this stage. The first is the van that
  you come up to in the beginning. Foot soldiers do come out from this.
  The second trap is just behind the second row of cones that you come
  across. The car that's facing you will come out and three Machine Gun
  Soldiers will rush out from the open space. You can use the cones on
  this stage to attack the Foot with, along with the road signs and the
  barrels that explode. The stage is pretty short so you'll reach the
  end in no time. Bebop and Rocksteady wait to take you on together at
  the end of this stage. You're going to have your work cut out for you
  trying to defeat the both of them. You can make them run into each
  other when they both go for their charge moves. Defeat them and you've
  rescued April O'Neal.

- Scene 3 -

- Stage 5 - The Highway -

- You have to watch out for alot on this stage. The foot come out from
  all angles plus Drill Bots will attack you at about the half point of
  the stage. The Foot also drive motorcycles and Mustangs to run you
  over. If you stay at the bottom of the stage you'll avoid them. They
  can take out any Foot Soldiers that get in their way so try to line up
  the soldiers when you know they're on their way. The end of this stage
  ends in front of three rows of tires that three soldiers jump out from
  and throw the tires at you. You can knock them back at the soldiers so
  no worries if you can time it right to hit the tire. Get by this stage
  and it's on to the Skateboarding Stage.

- Stage 6 - The Skateboarding Stage -

- All you have to do is survive this stage. The stage goes by
  automatically so just dodge the foot soldiers that appear if you don't
  want to fight the helicopter soldiers. When you enter the bridge (look
  in the background to know) just wait to get off of it and then you
  know that the stage is almost over. Survival is all you need to do on
  this stage. It doesn't matter how many soldiers you kill.

- Stage 7 - The Warehouse -

- Quite a few traps to watch out for on this stage. The first is just
  after where the Mousers show up. Jump up onto the top section of the
  platform that shows up before you. That way you'll avoid all the laser
  beams that are on the bottom level. Once you get pass this prepare for
  soldiers to jump out of the glass windows that will show up soon. Once
  you get pass this you must fight a miniboss, the Laser Bugs. They'll
  show up in a drill machine. After that you have to get pass rotating
  laser installments. They can be destroyed in 2 - 3 hits each. When
  you have got past all of this you must fight the Rock Soldier to
  rescue Splinter.

- Scene 4 -

- Final Stage - The Technodrome -

- This is what it's all been boiling down to. There are traps all over
  the place, plus Foot Soldiers galore. The first traps are the Laser
  Installments that you first encountered in The Warehouse stage. Take
  them out to move on to a laser that's in the wall itself. You can wait
  for the thing to turn off to move pass or just jump over it. The next
  trap to look out for is the ice blaster traps that come out of the
  ground. You'll know where they appear by the markings on the back-
  ground near the floor. They look like this "v". If you see the v then
  you know where they will show up. They come up fast, but you can
  destroy them in one hit just as they show up. Move past these things
  to get onto an elevator. The huge metal balls of the first stage
  appear here. They come from behind so dodge and jump out of the way of
  them to avoid losing tons of life. When you reach the end of the
  elevator shaft, a group of foot soldiers and drill bots are there to
  welcome you. Defeat them and then you must fight General Crag. Don't
  touch the doorway or you will get shocked and lose lots of life. Beat
  him and then it's on to the final battle with Krang and Shredder.
  Defeat the both of them and you've ebat the game. Congrats.

6) Frank Bryan's Section of Extreme Help

- First off let me just say that I'm finally grateful that someone has
  actually read my TMNT walkthrough, or at least this guy's the first
  known to me. He's sent in one hell of a Tips and Tricks section that
  I had to give him his own TMNT Chapter in this walkthrough. All of
  these tips and helpful hints will most definitely help you out if what
  I posted wasn't enough, e.g. Extreme Help. This guy kicks ass for the
  help he's sent in, and bow in much respect to him......though Raphael
  rules all and can kick Donatello's butt any day! lol....all of the
  following is in the original e-mail format, and has not been altered
  in any way, shape, form, or fashion.

- This is my contribution to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  walkthrough/FAQ originally created by Alex “Joker” Hall.  My own
  history with this game stretches back to when it first came out in the
  late 80’s, when I was in my mid-teens.  I always thought it was fun,
  but it was a couple of years before I started applying any kind of
  strategy to the game beyond just hitting the buttons and pumping in
  quarters.  I picked up a few more pieces of strategy by watching
  others, and finally when I discovered emulators a couple of years ago
  I really got down to business.  By the way, Donatello is the MAN!!!
  (He’s a techie, and I’m an engineering type, and he’s got the longest
  range too.:) )  Forthwith-

- Basic strategy for the game-
There’s two basic ways to play this game, and others of its
  variety- go for broke and don’t worry about damage, spending lives
  freely, which is best done with multiple people for maximum chaos,
  while the second way involves playing to win by using as few lives as
  possible, making the most of the opportunities in the game, and is
  best done by playing alone in order to cut down on uncertainties. The
  following information is best used by playing alone, however, it might
  well have good uses in a multiplayer game, especially if other people
  can stay out of the way.

- Miscellaneous points-
The foot soldiers always try to get on both sides of you and
  trap you, but there are ways to avoid this, and to get out of it once
  it happens and before it gets worse(i.e. they’ll grab you and start
  beating on you).  The jump-attack technique (hitting both buttons
  together) that can kill foot soldiers quickly(used by Don, Mike, and
  Leo) is good for when you’ve got soldiers on only one side of your
  turtle, and you can use this to prevent soldiers from getting close
  to you.  It’s especially good for getting rid of multiple soldiers at
  the same time when they’re bunched together.
The main method of survival in this game is to advance SLOWLY.
  If you’re concerned about keeping your character alive, I can’t stress
  this enough.  The faster forward you go, the more and sometimes
  different characters come out to meet you, which raises the odds
  against you.
If you advance slowly, you can jump-attack the soldiers more
  easily and clear them out of the way.
Sometimes, though, that isn’t enough, or you’ll get thrown ahead
  or whatever.  When that happens, it’s best to use your basic attack,
  because that is the fastest, and it keeps the soldier you’re hitting
  off balance.  Mix it up with jumping around when you get surrounded.
  When you are surrounded, if you use the jump-attack technique, you’ll
  take out the guys on one side, but you’ll get whacked on the way down
  by the guys on the other side.  But if you use your basic attack and
  then move up or move down, you’ll do damage to the guy on one side
  while avoiding the attack on the other side.  (I hope this makes
  sense.)

- A side note on scoring points
     If you enjoy getting your name on the scoreboard without too
  much effort, there’s a way to rack up points without taking any
  damage.  On the second stage, with the boomerang soldiers and the city
  streets, get one of them trapped behind a parking meter and then get
  into range of his boomerang.  As long as you’re still there, he’ll
  keep throwing boomerangs at you, and you can keep knocking them down,
  earning a point for each whack.

- About the robots with the lasso’s and laser beams-
         The robots will move up or down the screen with you
  instantaneously when they throw out a lasso.  It’s annoying as hell,
  but here’s the strategy- either jump and attack towards them, or, hit
  the lasso with your basic attack, and walk toward them and attack
  them.  You can actually hit the lasso and drive it back with a swing
  of your weapon.

- About the soldiers with the spears-
I agree with Alex, these are the toughest so-and-so’s in the
  soldier repertoire.  You can get rid of them with the jump-attack, but
  they’re quick enough to make this difficult to do without taking
  damage.  Your best bet is to attack them with a basic attack, hitting
  them three times, and doing it straight on, i.e. letting them come to
  you.

- The bosses-

- Rocksteady
Rocksteady has a gun that he has out only some of the time.
  He’ll have it out sometimes, and he’ll put it away sometimes.  Here’s
  what I’ve discovered- if he is barehanded, you can give him a sequence
  of licks(you can just hit him(basic attack) repeatedly) that will
  knock him down, no problem.  But if he’s holding the gun, you can only
  attack him with a few hits before he kicks you across the screen.
  And then he’ll blast you.  So, one simple strategy would be to simply
  attack him only when he’s barehanded.  However, if you want to finish
  him off faster, you can jump-kick him.  Here’s how that works- make
  sure Rocksteady is up against a wall, with his back to it.  When he’s
  got his gun out, he’ll stay in one place, usually.  Get below him,
  then jump up towards him, and then hold down and hit attack(I think-I
  do this without thinking so much now that I’m not quite sure how to
  explain it).  If you do it right, you can get two hits on him.  As
  soon as you hit him, move down or jump away.  Repeat until he’s dead.

- Bebop
This guy’s a piece of cake.  All you have to do is hit him
  (basic attack), then move up or down to avoid his punch, then move
  back and hit him, then move up or down to avoid his punch, etc. etc.
  etc.  Just keep doing this, and watch out for when he starts to
  charge.  If he does, jump up or down out of the way, and then get back
  close to him and start in on hitting and dodging him again.

- Rocksteady and Bebop
Together, these guys are a handful.  That’s why they give you
  that pizza in the corner.  All I can tell you is to remember the
  strategy to use against each of them, and then stay the hell out of
  the way of the other guy, which is of course hard.  The key thing
  here, as well as with the whole game, is to have PATIENCE.  As long as
  you keep moving and jumping, they aren’t as likely to hit you.  And
  when they both charge towards you, again, get the hell out of the way.

- Rock soldiers
One of these guys is at the end of the factory stage with a
  flamethrower, and the other one is at the end of the technodrome stage
  with a rocket launcher.  Same strategy on both guys- Get above or
  below them, and then wait for them to come to you.  They’ll pretty
  much overlap you on the screen.  Right before they get to you, press
  the attack button and then move up or down.  They pause just enough
  before attacking when they get to you that you can do this without
  getting hit, as long as you time it right.  DO NOT go to them, except
  for when the guy with the rocket launcher is cocking it.

- Krang
Years ago, I saw a guy take out Krang without getting hit once.
  Here’s how he did it.  Approach Krang from the bottom or top, and get
  on his left or right side.  If he’s on your right side, for example,
  hit him, move up, move left, move down, turn around and hit him, then
  move up, move left, move down, turn around and hit him again, etc.
  etc.  This also works in other directions, i.e. hit him, move down,
  move left, move up, turn around and hit him.  The problem with Krang
  is that he keeps moving, so you and Krang will be migrating all over
  the screen.  Just make sure you’ve got room to maneuver.  If you
  don’t, jump to a different part of the screen and start over.

- Shredder
The big boss man.  I won’t tell you he’s easy.  But you can beat
  him without dying.  Here’s what I do.  When he comes out, get back
  against the wall.  Shredder will split into two, and then come after
  you, but one twin will get stuck against the wall while the other one
  attacks you.  Shredder will come up to you.  Hit him, right as he
  approaches, and then immediately move up or down.  Don’t ever stand in
  front of the Shredder on the wall, though.  Keep hitting him as he
  approaches, and then moving.  Two things to worry about: sometimes
  he’ll lean back just before striking, and when that happens you need
  to move down or up immediately.  You can’t hit him, and he’ll do you
  major damage unless you move.  The other thing of course is the
  Shredder on the wall, who occasionally moves up or down, right up to
  where you are, and lets loose with the un-mutating ray.  So when he
  does that of course you have to move up or down, while keeping track
  of the other Shredder.
Having said all that, there’s two ways that this plays out,
  depending on whether the Shredder on the wall is the real one or not.
-If he is, you’ll be fighting a few more Shredders before the
  one on the wall stops reproducing.  At that point, he’ll continually
  move up or down the wall to you, and you can hit him, move, hit him,
  move, hit him, move, etc.  He’ll keep coming to you, and you keep
  hitting him and then moving, until he dies.
-If while you’re fighting two Shredders and the one on the wall
  is the fake one, all you have to do is keep fighting the one who’s
  not on the wall, as described above, until he dies.
              I think there might be a way to switch the Shredders by
  moving across the room to the other wall, but I’m not sure yet.

  General Tips-
                If you find yourself 'dying' too many times during the chapter
                you can/should save inbetween each 'event'. That way if/when
                you do die, you can just select "load game" and it'll be at the
                same exp. point but with the city's full health.

                If you're not getting an event just standing around, if you
                superspeed fly and randomly stop, that will trigger an event
                at times.

                Don't waste your time 'saving up events' (ie: having more than
                one on the screen before you start one. They'll disappear as
                soon as you finish an event, they reset basically.

  Abbreviations-
                SS = Super Speed
                SSF= Super Speed Flight (these 2 only used when you could
                     plausably do both)
                SSR= Super Speed Run
                SM = Superman
                O  = Circle
                [] = Square
                / = Triangle
                FB = Freeze Breath
                SB = Super Breath
                HV = Heat Vision

Story Walkthrough: [wkt]

  "It's a bird, it's a plane, it's flaming astroids!!!"
    This is the opening level, that doubles as a introduction to the controls.
    Take the instructions and change the controls around if they don't fit your
    'feel'. You'll have to save a couple of buildings from fires and destory
    a couple of places where meteors land with the right type of power.
    Soon you'll need to intercept the meteors falling from the sky, some are
    icy others are flaming. Use your opposite elemental attack to destory them.
    My advice is to fly superspeed (SS) toward them WHILE using whatever power
    you need to destory it. IE: SS toward a flaming astroid while using your
    cold/freezing breath. This way you can save on running back and forth from
    meteor to meteor. And trust me you won't run out of energy, it replenishes
    very quickly the moment you rest, even if you're airborn. Now soon the
    astroids will be done, but for some odd reason a fire breaks out just below
    you. SSF down to it, put it out then return upward somewhat. Now a HUGE
    meteor is about to hit, but if you collide with it, you're SURE to destory
    it. So SSF right into the sucker. BOOM, gone.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      KRYPTONIAN COMBO
                      'Superman Returns' Costume
                      'Meteor Mayhem' Trophy

  "Royal Galatic Rumble!!!!"
    If you've yet to learn by now SM is invicible ("YAY!" i know), so how can
    you lose?? Well it's all about crowd favor....ok AND your opponts health.
    So either get the crowd COMPLETELY on your side, OR deplete all their
    health. Your first opponent is pretty much a joke, but this level teaches
    you, more or less, about fighting. So practice your newly aquired combo,
    dodging, and blocking. Listen/follow the onscreen prompts and you'll get
    through all of them. Now when you really start to whoop him down, he'll
    split into 8 clones. More like 'clowns', but whatever. Some will hover in
    air and try to fire at you, others will jog after you, and the rest will
    just sit and wait for their demise. Two Square attacks will finish them
    off, yes i'm serious he's that easy. Just watch the air attacking guys,
    they may get a lick in. If you haven't started by now, use L2 to lock on
    to a nearby baddie. this helps will all targeting and even punching. After
    you beat all the mini-me's up, he'll come back to the middle as 1. Just
    repeat what you did before he split and in no time he'll go down. More
    than likely you'll deplete his health before the crowd's fully on your
    side. Planhtune like a ballon tied to a rock in the ocean. /cheesy

    Wow, just one 'gladiator' and you're already facing the 8-time champion?
    Well you ARE Superman. So here's Overcast, that's right, not 'cloudy' just
    overcast. /lame joke. You'll see why he's called "larger than life" soon.
    The first part is pretty much like the last goon, just circle around him
    to dodge his attack and then lay into him with a combo. As soon as he goes
    down hold O, cuz as he gets up he'll do a sonic-purple-pulse that'll hurt
    your rating and knock you back, we don't want that. Soon enough he'll
    transform to GIGANTO....well it's more like a bigger, more psychadelic,
    version of himself. Fly, up high, now. Remember that sonic-purple thing I
    mentioned earlier? Yea he's gunna do it here now repeatedly and without
    enough warning, but if you're high enough it won't hit you. But now you
    have to watch out for purple-homing-energy-spheres (what's up with this
    guy and purple??). If you SSF around the room enough you can outlast them,
    and if you're good enough, you can pick up an object and throw it at him
    before they hit you. So yes, as it says throw large objects at him. Well
    since you're flying this can be tricky, but you'll get it. You pickup
    stuff with X, so fly into an object (yes those pointy things on the pillers
    will work) and just before you run face first into it, press X, you'll lift
    it while flying, this way you can circle back around, target him and throw
    it. After about 3 hits, he'll shrink back down, now repeat what I said
    before, and don't forget to block, and more often this time cuz he will
    do random attacks this time around. Now rinse and repeat this process till
    he's done for, this will be another health victory, cuz the crowd is REALLY
    hard to please.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      "Up in the sky" popup combo

    Well of COURSE Mongul is the "best of the best". Yea whatever, I'm
    Superman, bring it! This is mostly and out and out 'fight'. Make sure to
    block though. He'll do 2 quick strikes then 1 big one, as soon as you
    blocked all that, lay into him with a combo (I prefer the kypton one, the
    first one you got). His other attack is to do a short, but noticable,
    charge and then dash at you. You should notice the charge as well as the
    ring that emites fromt he ground right before he launchs. Block this and
    he'll be open. As soon as you get about 3 combos off he'll call in
    some trustly reinforcments. These little guys blow up when you hit them,
    just target them, though it can be tricky at time to target them and not
    Mongul, and use either your laser eyes or freeze breath. Do that when
    they're at a distance, and they'll be harmless. Just watch out cuz Mongul
    will use this time to dash in and nail you. Just start blocking and when
    he's open, lay into him again. Soon he'll go down.
    Best warriors in the Galaxy and there's 4 of us??  uhh ok.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Burst Superpowers

  "Home sweet home...."
    Walk forward to check out the cute kitty cat. Ok so it just triggers some
    old, short, weird, trickery guy, but it's worth it. Now look for those
    cats all over and once you collect enough, you'll unlock things.

    Ahh and don't forget to walk up to the doors that you found the cat next
    to, for whatever reason they give the city some boosted life.

    Metallo-one of your "interest" points will be to him. He's kinda like a
    mini boss, beat him and his 2-3 minions asap, they'll put the hurt on some
    people, but not much damage to property.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      '1000 Fists' combo

    Now it's time to beat Metallo's 3 crews. After a few seconds of not being
    in a "battle" it will start an event where you will either fight the large
    robots, the lite ones, or the FAST ones. And by fast I mean FAST. They
    are the most dangerous of the bunch. They create a lot of distance and can
    do damage on the move. The key is to get close enough to one and target it
    and SSF following it, you'll quickly catch up, just continue to hold R1 and
    you'll ram it with your fist damaging it, but it'll still move. Just keep
    ramming it and it'll go down or stop and you can lay a combo down. The
    'lite' and 'big' groups are easily taken care of with a few combos, most
    of the minor enemies here though, one hit will down them, it's the mini-
    bosses you just should worry about. There should be 2 groups of the speed
    guys, one without any bosses in them, just SSF into them until they blow
    up, hardest part about this one is not getting hit by them when they
    superspeed and catching/finding them. Just don't hesitate. Now it's time
    for a new chapter.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Freeze Breath lvl 2

  "Come to the Dark Side Superman!"
    Ahh time for some air combat. This can be tricky cuz these guys move quite
    a bit, so use your upgrade and freeze them :D.  Now it's just a matter of
    finding them all. The next one is more of the same, but you'll have 2 minor
    baddies on the ground, just SSF into them and they're gone. Ahh more
    speedsters, but now you can freeze the tires off of 'em. Ok about 3 more
    random groups, you've already faced 'em so just keep it up. Once you fill
    you exp bar you should head to the red "?" and trigger the next scene and
    chapter.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      'Supernova' combo
                      Heat Vision lvl 2

  "Infernal machines..."
    Go to the event indicator, and here comes Matello. This time don't focus
    on his goons unless he's pulsating that greenish cloud. Only cuz you can't
    get near him to attack with that thing. Once a few are down he'll drop
    the barrier and you need to open up a can of galatic beatdown! Once he
    falls all his goons will to. Now it's time to run around fighting random
    baddies again. You should be getting the hang of things now, if you see
    a citizen try to rescue them as it's the Superman way of doing things, oh
    and it'll also restore some of the city's health. Once you've done MORE
    of those it's powerup and big event time, so head to the "?" again.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Super Breath lvl 2

  "Robot Roundup?? As long as there's no ho-down."
    A whopping 10 random events to get to the next section here. From personal
    experience don't let the city die when you're on number 9! They will switch
    it up even more on you, combining the fastest robots with the big bulky
    fighting ones. You may also run into a few fires here and there. Nothing
    special to finish off this Chapter, just do the 10 events and it's over.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Stamina lvl 2

  "SOME assembly required.....riiiiight"
    Ahhh Matello is back. Time to do it again but this time instead of spawning
    those annoying tankies, he'll spawn the speedsters. Which means you have
    to SS around and find them before you can attack him again (remember his
    invincible green cloud will drop when you defeat them all). Don't worry
    TOO much, but get those speedsters cuz you know they can deal damage
    quickly. That's it! End of this chapter, see easy compared to before.

  "Blue Screen of DEATH!!!!"
    Wow, big Metallo, kinda reminds me of Matrix: PON, the end boss....well
    whatever. Now fly back allll the way to the Daily Planet, as you approach,
    another cutscene. Ahh time for the FINAL fight, really, no I'm serious.
    Now totally ignore the choppers, they really don't affect anything, they
    may do SLIGHT damage to the city, but you much more worried about Metallo.
    Don't try any direct attack, he's got some sort of kryptonite barrier and
    you won't be getting through it...yet. Just focus on picking up vehicles
    that are sitting around the square he's rampaging in. Now focus on him
    (L2) and throw them (X). Rinse and repeat till his life bar is empty. Now
    you'll notice that he walks back and forth demolishing buildings, well
    after each building he downs, he'll look at you and kryptonite-laser-beam
    you. Which will knock you down and deplete all your energy. As soon as he's
    done, just tap / and it'll replenish some and you'll get up. Ok, once his
    life bar is out, another cutscene. Now just catch up to the rocket, easy.
    You don't have to do anything special there'll be another cutscene (see
    how you know it's the final battle now? so many cutscenes!). Now SM will
    fly back to Metallo and say "I gotta hit him with a direct attack" but
    Metallo uses his laser eyes again, but this time you won't be denied. Now
    you'll begin a little "mini game" type fight. It's like a tug-of-war
    with you vs the laser. Just rapidly tap what button they tell you to press.
    It'll be one of the 4 right side buttons, nothing fancy here. He'll go down
    pretty easy now. CONGRATS on your first REAL boss!

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Heat Vision lvl 3
                      'Up in the sky: it's a bird' combo

  "DNA huh?"
    Well it seems that monsters wrecking havoc in Metropolis is pretty norm.
    O_o Ok. Hey don't forget to save, you're almost half way there, don't
    wanna lose it now. Bizzaro?? He's like SM's dumb-zombie-twin brother! This
    is a realitivly easy fight. He usually uses 'Earthquake' or the the whole
    EQ combo. He will block your attacks somtimes, but if you keep attacking
    he may let his guard down. You can freeze him with the artic ice combo. If
    he gets a few licks in and knocks you down, he usually runs over to hit
    a pedesterian or trys to destory a car. Use this time to open up a combo
    on him, cuz he will not block it now. Another nice attack is the 'Suprise
    exchange' he'll usually miss blocking that. Keep it up and he'll soon flee.
    Ok now it's 7 more events fought till the next chapter, yea sorry no more
    Bizzaro for now. You will find new baddies though. They flying beasts, they
    kinda look like mini-dragons. They're actually 2 kind in the groups they
    send. One dragon will blow blue mystical stuff on you, that depletes your
    energy bar, those are very quickly killed by your laser eyes, so use it.
    The other are just as quick but they're two-fold. First freeze them, as
    they sit for a sec frozen, use R1 to fly right into them and 'air ram' 'em.
    One hit like that will kill them. They're new, but still not the hardest,
    you really don't have to worry much about them.

  "Don't be a menace to society while playing superman in your house"
    Metropolis and menacing baddies??? Noooo. O_o Ahh yay, Bizzaro again. Much
    more of the same from last time, but this time he'll hover at times. I say
    hover cuz he really doesn't flay high at all, he flys about as low as the
    game will let you. If he does knock you down with 'supernova' or 'earth-
    quake' he'll run away and try to damage buidlings or people, once you
    get up use your laser or freeze breath as you walk up to him cuz he'll
    block it but he'll stop attacking. This battle should really help replenish
    the city's health if it's hurting. Make sure to recuse injured people
    afterwards, don't need a lawsuit for neglet. Now own to more random fights.
    The will mix it up even more. You encounter the fire beasts, accompianed
    by a buidling fire! *gasp* Relax you can do it, you're Superman remember!
    Hint, use your super breath, not freeze breath, for fires, it does better.
    Ok once you've done about 8 events we'll move on.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Super Breath lvl 3

  "Air combat fighter"
    An air raid I'LL say. You'll have both the laser-weak and freezing-weak
    fliers in this. The Freeze-weak ones will attack the blimps, and try to set
    them on fire. The others will attack you, seeing as how they can drain your
    energy finish them off quickly. IF they do actually drain your energy just
    tap / like a madman and you'll recover in air. If a blimp does catch on
    fire, just use your super breath to put it out. Near the end of their
    journey you should have the chance to rest if you'd like, and to also
    preemptivly strike the fliers approaching. Just remember freeze, and dash.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Freeze Breath lvl 3

  "Cousin from a different planet? No, just a mutant."
    Mutant tankies, these are kinda like the big robots you fought with
    Metallo, but harder. You can freeze them and laser them to death. Well
    sorta, when they "die" they'll turn to statues that you have to punch till
    they explode (non-damaging), freezing dosen't do that much for you here,
    so I suggest the laser, it's quicker than fighting. They'll also use a
    radius blasts, which can move you back and damage surrounding cars and
    people. Kind of a pain. Ok you'll need to beat 10 events (again) for the
    next chapter. The 'baddie combo' to watch out for is "Clones and Drones",
    that's the new mutant tanks and the helichoppers that drain your energy.
    It's almost impossible to tank out the tanks BEFORE the heli's as they'll
    continually drain your energy and you'll be tapping / way too much to
    fight. Go beat the heli's quickly and you should have no problem taking
    out the tankies.

  "One on one, with yourself"
    Yay, finally Bizzaro! This battle may feel like it goes on forever, as if
    you simply can't end it, well after 3 'stare downs' it will end. First you
    will fight on the ground, like before. But once he takes enough damage it's
    time for a whole new ballgame. He'll fly off, go chase him, and start
    laser'ing building, SS air ram him, then lay into him with your own laser
    eyes. Once he takes enough damage he'll move to a nearby, but different,
    spot and start again. Just repeat till you go into the 'stare down'. 'Stare
    Down' is kinda like the laser block thing from Metallo, simply tap whatever
    button pops up on the screen repeatedly till it changes then change buttons
    soon (1 or 2 buttons changes later) you should 'win' the stare down. Now
    Bizzaro will fly off and start back at the top, go find him on the street
    and fight some more, but this time, as his health lowers, he'll bring in
    some backup. Remember your fire breathing dragons? They're here to help.
    Just jump up and fly, freeze them, air ram them all and go back to Bizzaro.
    He'll fly off, catch him, hurt him enough, stare down time. Now just before
    your 3rd 'stare down', Bizzaro should be laser'ing the statue of SM. Just
    keep air ramming and laser'ing him and it'll be the final stare down time.
    Long, but not that hard.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      'Rising Son' combo
                      Stamina lvl 3

  "Parole without trial? YESSS!"
    Well you can tell Lex is up to somthing, it's dark, cloudy and all around
    crappy! But you've got bigger fish to fry, for now that is.
    Yes it's time for randomness!! But there's a little somthing more now.
    Minibosses, again. First up is "Riot" the trouble with him as soon as you
    punch him he'll bring out two more of himself (the highest total baddies
    count I've seen was 8, so he won't if there's about that much already out).
    And he quickly dodges your laser eyes and freeze breath, so how does one
    defeat him??  Well double up your freeze breath, that's right use the
    upgraded, enhanced, ultra (whatever you wanna call it) version (where you
    press right twice to make the blue target bigger). Now hold down R2 and
    release after a couple of secs. It'll freeze everyone around you. NOW
    switch to your regular laser eyes and target one that's frozen and blast
    him till he's done for. Rinse, lather, repeat as desired. Just remember to
    NOT punch him or he'll multiply again, and you DON'T want that. Now you'll
    have about 12 events, 1 of them being the miniboss 'Riot'. Somewhere before
    your 10th event you should get Phot Finish Trophy (defeat 500 baddies).

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Super Breath lvl 4

  "Riots?? Looks like a job for.....the riot police!"
    Warworld, here?? I don't think so. Mongrul is looking to settle the score
    between you, let him know it's already settled. But just when you think
    you've gotten the best of him yet again, he brings in backup, and it's
    Overcast, though it's actually cloudly.....oh nevermind! You'll have to
    carefully attack between blocking Overcast's pink energy attacks and
    Mongrul's fists. It'll be tricky but get it done. Now that it's you and
    Overcast 1v1 again, just use the same tactics as before, block his 1 punch
    then lay into him with a combo. Soon enough he'll "go big" on you. As soon
    as you see him start to this, go grab a car and fly up. Remember how
    annoying the big radius blast he used to do was? Well replace that with
    the annoying homing pink energy spheres. He will still do the radius blast
    but not nearly as much. Just go get a car, and throw it at him from up high
    so he doesn't catch you with a blast, and make sure no spheres are close
    either. This should be easier than the first time you fought him. Once he
    shrinks back down 1 and 1/2 combos later he'll go down for good....again.
    This is one jam packed chapter. Your random encounters will include fires,
    Plahtune, Overcast, those crab looking guys (purple and yellow ones)
    and some older beasts you've fought before. The crabs will block your
    special attacks so you'll need to combo them (don't forget about your
    artic combo). Fires, of course super breath. Plahtune is actually harder
    this time around, cuz all of the clones will activly attack you, but >1
    combo will put them down. Overcast will only grow once here, so make sure
    to grab a car and drop it down on him, almost litterally, fly just above
    him so the car can't fall short and miss. There should be about 8 events in
    all.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      'Corkscrew' combo

  "L.O.D. Legion of Destruction, sound familer...?"
    Well get ready for 10 rounds of randomness, but remember you're gunna start
    to see just about everything you fought so far mixed up and paired up
    with each other. Perhaps the toughest will be Plahtune and Overcast. Lots
    of blocking to start out with, block Overcast's shots and inbetween nail
    Plahtune's clones, it'll be slow going at first but soon enough it'll be
    just you and Overcast, and you should know how to deal with him pretty
    easily by now. (Hint-make sure when you pickup a car to SSF away and up
    so as not to be caught off guard by his radius blast) Once you're done
    with the 10 events it's the end of this "little" chapter.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Heat Vision lvl 4

  "Gruge? I've got no gruge for for whooping Mongrul..."
    Ahhh Mongrul, at long last we meet again....and again, and AGAIN! Geez when
    will you leave me alone?! Ok first part, good 'ol hand to hand beat down.
    Make sure to block when needed, and when there's an opening combo him.
    After about 1/4 of his health is gone he'll call down meteors (that's new!)
    they fall quickly so target and ice them before they land, there's about
    3-4 of them now. After that time to go back to beating him down. He'll,
    again, call upon some help. This time it's Plahtune(s). Not really much
    of a challange, Plahtune/Overcast pair is harder than this. Just get rid
    of Plahtune ASAP and then go back to focusing on Mongrul again. He'll use
    both of his "helpers" 1 more time each and then should be done for good.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      Freeze Breath lvl 4

  "Twist and shout"
    Wow, for the first time Superman doesn't seem so "super". These tornadoes
    will be tough. You gotta position yourself so that you use your SB to blow
    it back towards the water. Once over the water you can then switch to your
    FB. Just watch your energy, don't let it run out and let the tornado push
    you out of position. Be ready for a lot more building fires too, just SB
    them out. Once you finish with a few of the 'small' tornadoes things will
    pick up, litterally, the BIG DADDY of all tornadoes will come through.
    No use trying to blow this thing away, you can only hope to get some people
    out of harms way and put out some fires (though I have no clue why you're
    putting out fires when a giantic tornado is about to dismantle the whole
    building, but oh well). Ahh time to go IN the torando, and suprise there's
    a tornado IN the tornado (is that even POSSIBLE??). Well you'll actually
    be switching between your laser vision and freeze breath to damage the
    inner-nado. There will also be debris flying around in side (duh!) that
    will knock you for a loop, you can block them but it's really hard to tell
    when it's coming. The key here is to see what the outer-nado's color is.
    When it's red use your FB on the inner-nado, when the outer is blue use
    your laser vision. If you started this with a pretty good amout of city
    health you shouldn't worry too much about the debris hitting you, if you
    didn't though, this could be troublesome, but just do your best to block
    when you see debris or when a piece hits you.

    Unlocked/Obtained-
                      'Golden Age Superman' Costume

  "Everything that has a begining, has an End....or does it?"
    What could possibly be left after saving the earth from Luther? How about
    hundreds of random events to boost your EXP from @140k to 500k. Doing this
    will help unlock concept art, but you have to also collect the kittens.
    Is it worth it? Well that's up to you to decide, keep in mind that getting
    ALLLL that exp will take some serious time out of your life.

  Congrats, that's it!
    Yes you've finally beaten the game, although it took nearly 2.5 times as
    long as the movie, it seems very abridged doesn't it? Oh well, still it's
    the best SM game ever made, and seeing as how many there have been that's
    saying a lot. I'm not saying it's the best, nor the worst, but there is
    some definate fun to be had here.

2) Introduction
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Welcome to the first, and as time may tell, only Sneak King FAQ on the
web.
Those of you looking for a Sneak King FAQ are likely playing on a 360,
and this FAQ is focused on getting A-Rank on all challenges so that you can
more quickly achieve all 200 points. If you are reading this and are playing on
an XBOX, please email me your reason. I honestly can't think of one myself.
I have written this FAQ not out of love for the game, but more to help
those of you out there who, like me, have trouble bringing themselves to leave
a game unfinished after starting it; particularly when achievement points may
be involved. In fact, I considered quitting quite a few times throughout the
guide when I accidentally got an A-rank on my first try and had to replay
multiple times to get a B-rank so I could record what the cut off was for A.
The motto of this FAQ is "I played more so you don't have to."
Some challenges in Sneak King are graded by time and others by points.
If you have played the game, then you may know that one of the most time
consuming problems is that you are not notified of the A-Rank requirements
until after you have completed the challenge; even then, only if you have
already achieved B-Rank. This leads to often having to play a challenge
multiple times, given that you were striving for the wrong goal. Or, you may
have surpassed the requirements without knowing it, and end up spending a lot
more time than necessary waiting in a hiding spot, or for hunger levels to
change.
I have not included walkthroughs of each individual challenge, as paths
are random and there are many ways to complete a challenge even if they
weren't. I have however provided some general tips that should help with all
challenges, and most helpful to finishing the game quickly will be the
challenge summaries.
Combining the basic simplicity of the game, my time saving techniques,
and the foreknowledge provided by the challenge summaries, you may very well
cut your Sneak King time in half by using this FAQ.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3) Controls/Tips
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The controls are very simple, you will usually be pressing (A), and onscreen
cues are generally present as well.
Left Stick or Directional Pad   -Move
L Stick Button                  -1st person mode. (You can't actually move in
1st person, so I am guessing this is just a
novelty, put in to let you see the world from
inside the mask. You can hear the King's
unsettlingly heavy breathing as well.)
A Button -Surprise/Flourish/Accept
B Button -Cancel
Y Button -Hide/Unhide/Special Action
Right Trigger -Sneak in free play mode (Useless) or
Run in Challenge Mode.
Right Stick -Move camera
R Stick Button -Change zoom level
Start -Pause
*****
Tips-
*****
Be very careful to always select "Continue Game" on the starting menu. It is
not selected by default, and I highly doubt you wish to have your progress
overwritten.
I would not risk signing in to play under a different profile if you have
completed any significant amount. Just in case it clears out the old
information. I have tried it and it worked just fine, but with all the bugs in
this game, and having heard of this happening on other games, I would just
choose to err on the side of caution.
Camera-
I was surprised that reviews did not scream in frustration at the camera.
You will be fighting it throughout the whole game.
It is y-inverted, so pushing right rotates the viewpoint counterclockwise
around the King and vice-versa. It is quite a dizzying experience until you get
used to it, as it can move rather quickly as well. There is no way to change
this setting.
The zoom level is essentially useless. The three options are very much the
same. The default is perfectly acceptable throughout the game.
***************************************************
Pay attention here!! These tips will save you time:
***************************************************
After making a delivery, the camera almost always reverses. So, if you are
trying to complete a number of deliveries within a time limit, you can shave
seconds off your time by pushing the left stick in the opposite direction from
which you would like to move. While running you can correct the camera and
proceed.
You may find the mini-map useful during this time as well, as you will not
necessarily be able to see where you are going for a second or two.
Occasionally you will jump in a hiding spot and not be able to see the
civilian you are trying to feed. You can often push the camera up or down to
adjust your view, but sometimes not, and in any case, your prey may have moved
by then. Instead, use the mini-map to tell both where someone is, and what
hunger level they are at.
The mini-map is really useful throughout the rest of the game as well. It can
help you plan your attack, overcome the camera's shortcomings, and overall
improve your control of the game. Don't forget about it.
People are completely oblivious outside of their vision cones. You may walk
right on top of someone, but as some people make abrupt turns, it may be
better to stay back a bit.
On missions that require you to feed every person without anyone passing out
there will only be one person hungry at a time. This means that you can feel
free to go slowly and build up points when that is the goal.
*******************
Pointers on Points:
*******************
If you need a lot of points, the following tips may be helpful. Keep in mind
that time and situation may not always allow for their use, at least not
throughout an entire challenge.
-Flashing red is the hungriest person. This is hunger level 5. The rate of
flashing will increase before a person faints, but this does not raise your
bonus.
-Chain counts are obviously useful, and in levels that specify "any" number
of deliveries may be made, or a minimum number, feel free to do a few quick
ones to raise your multiplier. Sometimes this will be the only way to obtain
the A-rank point requirement. ("Big Surprise" achievement can also be obtained
this way.)
-Delivering from a hiding spot provides a huge bonus. Especially when
combined with the other bonuses. The game doesn't provide a hiding multiplier,
instead raising your base rate from 100 to 500 points. Looked at the other way
though, this is a 5x bonus. If you have to choose between waiting for a persons
hunger level to increase or jumping out at them from a hiding spot at a lower
level, definitely choose to jump out.
---------------------
Walkthrough
---------------------
The Royal Tutorial [L01]
As the interactive part opens, smash everything and everyone and collect the
fairy dust (the blue stuff) and any other shiny collectable you see. Donkey
guides you through this tutorial of sorts, so you'll be fine. Remember to
collect the gold coins as well.
The Docks [L02]
As you go down the stairs, jump and collect the items, then proceed down and
beat up the two pirates. Jump over the gap and keep going. Beat up more of the
baddies and break the boxes. Keep going and collect the coins on the cliff wall.
It's all a downward path to the left, so you can't get lost. At the bottom will
be more guys and you will see gold coins forming an arrow. Collect them, break
the box and activate the lever. Now you're playing as Puss in Boots. Go along
the catwalk and beat up the pirates. Hit the lever at the end. Now, back to
Shrek. Go in, beat up the pirate, destroy Hook's statue and collect the mug.
Break all the crates and open the gold chest by tapping the Light Attack button
repeatedly. Keep going onwards breaking crates and beating up pirates. Break the
piano for another mug. You will see another gold coin arrow, so collect them
and break open the box next to the gate to free the prisoners. Then break the
gate by tapping the Light Attack button. Go on through. Jump down the cliff,
and beat up the pirates. Break the box at the far right for another mug.
Continue left and jump over the gap where the gold coins are. Beat up more
pirates and keep going. Jump over the gaps onto the ledges, where a mug is,
until you hit solid ground again, and then just keep going. You'll come to
a scene where you see Captain Hook. Run after him while beating up more pirates.
The Pirate Ship [L03]
Collect the gold coins and beat up the two pirates. Jump on the cage and then
jump in the air to get the red coin. Push the cage against the crates near the
start point and use it to jump on top of the pile and get onto the catwalks.
Get the mug and head left. Break the crates to get a hook. Keep moving. After
you drop down from the ramp, head underneath it for crates and a mug. You'll
even see a familiar face from Madagascar. Anyways, keep going left while beating
up pirates then hit the lever. Now, you are Puss again. Beat up the pirates and
collect the fish. Before you follow Hook, though, fight your way back to Shrek.
Puss has a double jump so he can get those coins up there, so get them then
continue onwards chasing Hook while fending off pirates. You'll see another
cut scene. Go under the ledge where Hook is and break the crates for a mug and
a hook. Go through the doorway on the right and fight your way onwards. In the
big room, break the crates for a hook and a mug. There are three big crates in
the room. The first one has pirates, the one on the platform has gold coins and
third hides a path to a lever. Break them, fight/collect whatever comes out and
then hit the lever. Go through the open gate and then use the lever at the other
end of the room. A platform will come down. Double jump onto it, then proceed
through the chain of platforms, collecting the coins, until the last one. Go
onto the ramp and proceed onwards. Break the boxes on the other side of the fish
for another hook. Run along the fish, fight the pirates and activate the lever.
Go through the door. Now comes a boss battle of sorts. The game says to use the
Strong Attack to break his shield, but the Fairy Dust Attack works better. After
it's gone, just slap him until he surrenders.
Ye Olde Ruins [L04]
Go along this path destroying everything. The sign next to Shrek at the start
has a mug. Up ahead the path turns right, as the arrow points out. Behind the
arrow is barrel. Destroy it for another mug. Go onwards, meet donkey, beat up
peasants. The crates next to them have another mug. Ahead of them, the path
branches into two. Go right, jump over the gap, collect the mug, drop down and
keep going. Open the gate ahead by tapping the Light Attack button. There will
be a lot of enemies here, so just keep hitting. Break everything in the back
for lots of goodies, including a trophy. The vending machine gives out an
infinite amount of barrels which leads to an infinite amount of fairy dust. Up
the stairs, hit all the lockers and you should find the geek and another trophy.
Open the gold chest too. Once you're done, go left. Destroy the second statue
along the way for the last trophy and the last statue, next to the lever, for
the last mug. Activate the lever. As you make your way to the gate, you will be
attacked by a witch. Use the vending machine to get barrels and toss them at
her. Two more witches will come, but you can easily just hit them until death.
Once she's finished, go through the gate.
Ye Olde Road [L05]
Now you play as Donkey. Go down the path, destroying everything. One crate near
the end has a mug, on the left before the two on crates. Go onwards destroying
things. One crate behind a rock on the left where three peasants attack you
carries a mug. If you see a trophy on top of crates, you've just passed it.
Go onwards, collecting that trophy and still destroying everything until the
carriage starts throwing hay at you. Go up the rocks to the left of the path
and beat up the two peasants and crates. One of them has a mug. Keep chasing the
carriage. The best way to dodge the hay bales is to jump in a zig zag pattern.
After the bridge, beat up more peasants, get the trophy and go on. Destroy more
crates for another mug and keep going after the carriage. Once you're inside the
building, beat up all the peasants, go onto the stone platform on the left,
collect the trophy then break all the crates. Then meet Shrek.
Academy Grounds [L06]
Go forward and destroy everything. This is the first actual open place in the
game so explore it while destroying everything. Break all the statues around the
dragon hedge for a little secret picture of Shrek. Explore around and you'll
find the nerd in the top right corner of the map. There's a trophy in the top
right and a mug in one of the statues. After the nerd runs away again, he moves
to the bottom left. Go get him. He runs to the gate now. Go meet him, collect
the key, then go through the gate. Run ahead while beating up the witches. Soon
you will play as Puss. Go into the water, then climb the ledges. The platforming
in this game is TERRIBLE, so it will be a bit difficult. Anyways, once you're
at the top, jump over the barricade and break the crates to the left for a mug.
Then activate the lever. Now you're Shrek. Go into the gate, then after you
talk to the kid, take an immediate left, run down the pathway and enter the
empty door. Go down here, fighting the jocks and breaking the lockers. The last
set, next to the witches has a mug. Fight the witches then keep going into the
gymnasium. Fight the jocks here. Go onto through the open door and there will
be a boss battle, like the last one. This time, don't use the soccer balls
Donkey and Puss give you. Run to the back and use the barrels, then once you
hit the red witches with them, run up and whack them. Once they're done,
cut scene.
Prison Cell Block [L07]
Now you play as... Sleeping Beauty? Whatever, break everything in the cell then
use your Fairy Dust Attack on the prisoner. Before you go straight ahead, go
right and take out the crates for a tiara. Fight the prisoners in the prison
cell then take that path that goes straight ahead. Fight your way onwards. Once
you're outside, you will fight trees and prisoners. There's no real difference,
so just fight onwards. It's a linear path anyways. Up ahead is the first real
puzzle of the game. Stomp on the center one, then stomp on the left one twice.
All three are yellow diamonds and the gate is open. Beat up the guard and press
on. Destroy that wooden thing at the end for another tiara, then go into the
cell on the right and float down the hole. Break the barrel at the bottom for
a mug and then go all the way to the back for another mug. Then go forwards up
the stairs and fight onwards. Break the barrel next to the column in the room
with foot columns for another tiara. Keep going. Up ahead is a room with gaps
that Sleeping Beauty can float down and platforms with coins on it. Just fall
down and try and float near the top right of the hole so that you can get the
mug. At the bottom, stomp on the switch and hit the locker to free the geek.
Then head right and go down the path. You can jump down again in case you
missed the mug. There's also a coloring page too in the bottom left. Otherwise,
jump across the platforms and through the gate. The wooden thing to the left
of the gate holds another mug. Up ahead is another boss battle of sorts. Only
Strong Attacks work on him, so use them. Destroy the crates for more goodies,
including the last tiara. Get the key, then go back to the locked door which had
a silver mug behind it.
Lancelot's Castle Capture [L08]
Okay... now you play a sort of minigame, called Castle Capture. You basically
have to knock down the enemy's towers. Basically, just aim with WASD and hold
Space to control the power. Tab and Q change weapons. That's about it. Really
easy.
High High Peak [L09]
There's nothing to do here but run forwards and beat up gnomes and snowmen. The
first and third snowmen have hats for you to collect. There will be some whelps
too, but they're nothing different. The snowman across the first bridge has
a hat. After you cross the second bridge and are ambushed by whelps, go down
towards the camera. You will see a red coin. Go to where it is and jump to the
bottom right of the screen. There will be a mug on a platform. After you get it,
go back and continue going right. On the platform where two gnomes hide behind
snowmen, the one to the left has a hat. After you're done with them, jump to the
right onto the platforms and head into the cave. In the cave, the gnomes will
set up three fights between you, a knight, whelps and a flying whelp. It's not
hard. Once you're done, go through the door. Fight the knights and chase the
gnome down into more knights. Once they're all gone, go through the doorway on
the right at the end of the tunnel and go along the ledge. Before jumping onto
the platforms with coins, turn left and get the mug. Then go onto those
platforms. Hit the lever at the top then run all the way back to that gateway
you just opened. Head on down the path. You will come across a bunch of knights,
so beat them up. The leader has a shield, so just charge up your Strong Attack
to break it. Once you're done, ice comes out. Use it to jump up onto the mine
tracks. If the ice melts, hit the snow pile for more. Go along these tracks to
the left. Hit the lever and the snowman for an opened gate and the last hat.
Go through the opened gate back where you got onto the tracks and collect the
key. Proceed on this path and you'll drop down onto a familiar place. Jump on
the platforms and go back to Arthur and use the key on the door.
Ice Lake [L10]
Go down the path and beat up the knights. Destroy the last snowman on the left
for a hat. To get the floating mug, hit the ice pile to let loose a cube for
you to stand on and jump to the mug. Then go to Arthur. Now the Lady wants
shoes. Go the to the right of the area and collect all the shoes. To get the
first one, which is in midair, hit the ice pile for a cube and push it within
range. Do it quick before it melts. There's another one near it, so get it too.
Then go back to where you came. You'll see another shoe in midair where the
snowman with the mug was. Use the ice pile to get another cube to get it then
go back to where you started the game. There's another shoe in the alcove there.
Keep going left for more shoes. Jump off the ledge to get the shoe in midair,
use the ice pile to get a cube for the mug, then head right to get another shoe.
Jump on the platforms there to get the last shoe. Once you've got it, head back
to the Lady. Now you will play as Arthur, who is by far the best fighter yet.
Follow the tracks and go into the door that was closed before. Follow the tracks
and fight whatever comes in your way. At the end of the tracks, the camera will
shift and focus on a button. Go towards the camera for a coloring page, then
go stomp on the button. Go back to that now-opened door and ride the elevator
down. Fight the gnomes on the way. At the bottom, just go and activate the well.
Now you have to go to the left and fight your way along the platforms. Just do
it. Once you get to the top, follow Shrek through the platforms. Collect the
mug on the way. Just after the knights, you'll see a hat. Go get it and continue
on into the cave.
Ice Cave [L11]
Go down the path and fight everything along the way. The second snowmen has a
coloring page. After you see the dragon, you will play as Arthur. Fight down
his path too. No extra goodies. Okay, now comes the first real boss battle of
the game and to be honest, it's relatively hard. The dragon has an assortment of
physical attacks from a simple punch to a bite. They're easily avoided by
moving around. Sometimes it breathes or shoots ice at you. You can avoid it
easily. The thing to watch for it when it jumps. If it lands while you’re still
on the ground you will be stunned, so jump up too. When it calls down icicles,
run around to its tail and start hitting it. There's no way to do massive damage
to this thing. What you have to do are get in hits here and there. The best
strategy is to run around in circles as far from the dragon as possible, then
occasionally jump in, hit it once or twice, then land back where you jumped
from, all while going in that far circle. Once the dragon knocks you up, go to
Donkey.
Prison Detention Center [L12]
Go back and crack open the big crate for a coloring page. Then head down the
path. Break the first stump outside for a mug, then keep going down the stone
path. Break the barrels opposite to the building entrance for a tiara, then
keep going through the path in the building. Now, you'll have to avoid some
traps. Easily done, as it's just some columns going up and down. They stay up
for quite a while so you can easily run through. Break the stuff on the way for
a tiara. The last column has a hole under it, so float down and proceed along
this path. You'll come to another cyclops and his minions, beat them all up. For
the cyclops, block his attack and Strong Attack him. Once you're done, break all
the crates for food and then use the cage to jump up to the ledge where the
cyclops was. Break the boxes there to get a mug, then stomp on the switch to
open the gate. Go through it. Once you go through, a prisoner in a cage will
come rolling down. Thanks to the Havok engine, it will probably be slowed down,
stopped or deflected so it shouldn't be of any real concern. Just go along the
path. A guard will lock you in and an infinite amount of prisoners will come at
you. Break the stuff in this room for a tiara and mug. Use the Fairy Dust Attack
on the guard to get him to open the gate so you can proceed along the path. Up
ahead are more traps. Then comes more platforms like last time you played as
Sleeping Beauty, but this time you can't fall down. Break the barrel on the left
for a mug, then get across to the other side and head left. You'll see a hole
you can float down. Ignore the stairs and jump across, floating down the far
wall. There, you can get gold coins and another tiara. Meet with Fiona at the
bottom. Use you Fairy Dust Attack on the guard to get him to open the gate. Now,
you're Fiona. Use her Fairy Dust Attack on the door to open it. Hit the statue
of the fairy godmother for more fairy dust. The next room will have a respawning
guards. To stop them, use Fiona's Fairy Dust Attack to move the big stone blocks
over the switches. Up ahead, there are three switches. See the door? The
corresponding switches must have the same icons. Hit the left on twice and the
right one once. Problem solved. Go on.
Forest Ambush [L13]
Just beat the hell out of everything. Seriously. Collect everything that drops.
Once pirates stop coming at you, jump on the cannon then jump up to Hook.
Merlin's Shore [L14]
Go down the path and break everything. Collect the peg leg too. To get the mug
on the rock, jump on the crates first. Destroy the crates by the other rock for
a peg leg. When you go and attack the ranged guys, a cannon will start to fire
at you. Destroy it for a coloring page, then proceed along the path. Once you
get to the big tree at the waterfall, go down the waterfall, beat up the pirates
and then break the crates at the back for a mug. Explore the waterfall for three
red coins. Then go up to the big tree and push it over. Go across it and proceed
along. Break the barrels behind Merlin for a peg leg, then keep going right.
Collect the first magical horseshoe from behind the living tree. Get the mug and
try to avoid the rolling rocks ahead. Otherwise, just keep moving. Beat up the
pirates near the purple barrier and get the second horseshoe. Break the barrel
near the rock barricade for another peg leg. Then knock the barricade down and
keep going. Up ahead, RUN. If you stand too long in front of a tree, you will
take massive amount of damage. Go get the third horseshoe, then destroy the big
wooden beaver, then destroy the trunk for a mug. Then make your way up the path.
Right as you get to the top, you'll see a coin on the left, run there and you
will find a mug. Destroy the first cannon for the last peg leg, then the second
cannon for a way up to the last horseshoe. Once that's done, go through the
barricade. There's this massive Viking dude on the other side. I recommend
blocking his attacks and then striking him until he's down. Head on down the
path and meet up with your friends.
Evil Queen's Castle [L15]
Destroy the statue and go up the path. Break the first barrel for an apple.
Break the knights' shields, then beat them up. Destroy the statue, kill the
witches and use the rocks to jump up to the lever and activate it. Now, as Puss,
jump on the platform and ride it up. Run up the chains and hit the barrel
between the witches for an apple. Run to the right, beat up everyone, jump on
the bed and get the mug, then hit the switch. Ignore the enemies and run up.
Stomp on the switch and then go up some more. Jump in the green portal then go
along this path. Jump on the platforms. The ones that branch to the left lead to
a mug. Otherwise, just get across to the other side. In the big room are four
spaces with switches on them. Hitting one raises the platform clockwise to it.
Raise all four in turn, collecting the mug on the way up, until you reach the
top where you can hit the switch. The witch will teleport you to the left tower,
so go in, collect the stuff, hit the switch, ignore the enemies, go up. From the
top, you can jump down and get the mug you saw on the way up. Otherwise go into
the green. Get across the platforms, go into the tower, go up the moving
platforms and hit the switch. Now, Shrek again. Run forward, beat up everyone,
hit the switch and go across the moving platforms, until you get to the gate.
Hit it a few times to destroy it. Don't go into it or you have to start all
over again.
Stromboli's Workshop [L16]
Make your way down and throw the barrels at the targets. Jump on the ledge and
beat up the enemies. Then go down into the opened area and beat up all the
puppets. Proceed through the open door. Make your way down the pathway, beating
up things as you go. Near the end is a mug. Get it. Beat up the enemies, then
stomp on the switch. Collect the whale there and then push the box down so that
you can use it to jump up to the ramp where the balls are coming down. Run all
the way up. Get the mug at the top, then pick up the balls and hit the targets
to open the door. In the next room, jump up the teeth, go left, knock the
present down, push it to the side of the room where the ramps are, go up the
ramps, collect the whale and coloring page, go back up the teeth then go right.
Ride the platform up and beat up the enemies so the puppet can move the present
out of the way. Jump on the platform and it will lower. Beat up the puppets. Go
along the path, avoiding the traps. Beat up the enemies in the room at the end
to free Pinocchio. Now, go along the path way and avoid the traps as best you
can. It's not hard. Go meet Merlin.
Prison Castle Capture [L17]
Another game of Castle Capture. Fun.
Catacombs [L18]
Follow the path through the gate. Jump across the pipes and platforms until the
end. Jump back on the lower set for a mug. Then head right and follow the path
there. Avoid the spikes, go along the path, get the tiara, run past the door
for a mug, then go through the door and follow the path. Now, hit the switches
in the order you saw them depressed. Then do it again. In the last room, jump
in the last hole and get the mug. Then jump in the middle hole and go along the
path. Push the large stone with your Fairy Dust Attack three times and then use
it to jump up to the next area. Use the crates to jump up to the moving platform
and then get the coloring page. Then go back down and use your Fairy Dust
Attack to open the door. There are two more rooms where you have to open the
door and proceed the same way. After that, you have to run like hell from some
boulder. Beat up all the whelps, then the knights to proceed. In the next room,
break the crates for a mug, then proceed through to the right. Beat up all the
enemies and the big viking guy. I recommend spamming jump kicks.
Rundown Streets [L19]
Run up ahead and activate the first and third switches. Collect the gold ticket
under the third awning. Run all the way left, go up the platform then jump
across the awnings to get to the other side. Run along the path here. Break the
barrels as you go up the ramp here for another ticket, then go through the door.
Break the barrel in the bottom left of the next area for a ticket then go
through the door at the top. Collect the key there, break the barrels for a mug
then go back to where the ramps were and go through the door on the left. Run
along the pathway here and collect the ticket up the stairs next to the trees.
Activate the well for a gold chest as well. Break the cannon Shrek uses at the
end of the pathway for the last mug. Run to the open door up ahead.
The Grand Finale [L20]
Just beat up everything. Yeah, again. Go down from the stage and hit the barrels
for good and the only mug. When Charming comes down, attack the ropes at the
end of the stage to free Shrek. Now, as Shrek, give Charming a firm beating.
